  5. Wow some low lifes in this world. Was excited to get home today from work and look at my great condition visors, dash piece, and passenger tail light from Larry... unfortunately, some piece of S*** stole two packages right off my porch. Camera was too blurry to catch a plate number or a face so i got hosed. back in the market for all the above. Most important is the P/S tail light lens.
  6. I dont have a wiring diagram. I will take a look at those. the 2002tii.org seems to jump form 71 to 75. unless "71-" is meant to be 71-74... Any reviews on this ...https://www.amazon.com/1974-1976-2002tii-Color-Wiring-Diagram/dp/B003BDPWJ2
  7. Hey guys, Firstly, a side note: i love how helpful this community is!! best experience I've had/seen with a forum Working on cleaning up the nightmare of wiring the previous owner did on my 1974 02. It has random wires everywhere! I'm trying to track down a mysterious aftermarket switch that doesn't seem to do anything. First question is, can someone help identify what these relays are for from left to right in the first attached picture? The Second picture is the third relay where the switch is connected. A blue wire is pulled from the second relay, red to battery, black not connected to anything (guessing the ground fell off), Yellow to this switch. At the switch, there is the yellow and a green wire. green wire splices into a wire into the ignition if i remember right it was purple. then goes to some box into a mess of other wires again. I want to say it was for the head unit (which was missing when purchased). This car had 2 amps, bunch of speakers, 2 subs, dvd player, and a bunch of random useless stuff so there are wires and grounds EVERYWHERE! That was a lot of info. I primarily want to know what those relays are and that blue wire from the 2nd relay so i can determine whether to pull all the wiring and that switch off the car. Thanks in advance!
  8. I think i am safe!! Drove the car around and its stops great! got pretty lucky
  9. wow! sounds like fun haha Whats the secret??
  10. UPDATE: Had a little time after work today. Turns out xr4tic was right! The check valve was installed backwards. Flipped it around and the pedal loosened up substantially. I didn't have a chance to take it around the block but i did notice the idle would change when i pumped the brakes... Bad booster right? still need to take the plug off and look for fluid inside.
  11. Thanks Ed. I will check the Vacuum hose, fitting, and if there is fluid inside. Any easy way of telling if its a reinforced hose? i wont be driving it yet thats for sure. Also, if i do indeed find fluid inside and replace the booster, does that mean the MC is bad and needs replacing or just some o-rings?
  12. I didnt notice any pulling. Im sure it will!!
  13. idle seems okay. maybe a tad low .. hmm thats a theory too
  14. Hey guys need some help here. I recently picked up a 1974 2002 that was sitting for a year. replacing a fuel line got it up and driving...barely. By barely i mean the damn thing takes all the force in the world to stop! Smile on my face quickly turned to worry. Thought that i was going to smack this thing into another car. The brake pedal is very firm. From my experience, that should mean there isn't air in the system right? Usually air in the system equates to spongy pedal. I have to push down super hard and the car comes to a slow stop. What I've done so far (not much): - with engine off, pumped the brakes a bunch of times...didn't seem to get any firmer.. kept it depressed and started the car. the pedal did not sink down. - Quickly Inspected vacuum line, seems to be oily - sprayed carb cleaner around the vacuum hose ...no increase in idle I think there is brake fluid around the booster. does that mean i have a leaky MC which lead to fluid in the booster thus killing that as well?? Any suggestions would help. i didn't want to start changing a bunch of parts for no reason. UPDATE BELOW
