  1. Check with eBay seller “Alpha1750”. He’s a great resource for Solex bits and he’ll get the parts to you quickly. I was referred to him by an FAQ’er two years ago (you can do a search and you’ll find his name comes up often on here) and have had nothing but good experiences. Good luck!
  2. Very nice! A/D/S amps were among the best. My first 02 had a stack of them (the car was previously owned by a car audio enthusiast) powering several A/D/S IB subs and components mounted in the rear shelf and [unfortunately] the front door cards. Great quality amps that will last forever. To answer your question... I have used the JL Audio B/T adapter with good results in the past. I never had any issues with connectivity (this was probably 2-3 iPhone versions ago). You’ll likely need a power trigger (unless the amp has a line trigger) as was mentioned previously. Here is the link to the adapter: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-K4lXoO2uBGP/p_13691126/JL-Audio-MBT-RX.html?XVINQ=GLX&awkw=79438365495&awat=pla&awnw=g&awcr=65372638345&awdv=m&awug=9003440&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9JzoBRDjARIsAGcdIDW-CD0ruQ7uUsCzo_OAnsW7wqgB4hbzof6Lq1GtFvb_8zSZoIMo9_4aAuRYEALw_wcB Good luck!!!
  3. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but you’ll need to run a minimum 10-12 gauge ground wire (it depends on the load of the new alternator but 10-12 is typically good enough) from the small ground post on the alternator case to the engine block. I think it usually gets connected to the same point that the braided ground wire from the battery goes to.
  4. Right? I thought that was why we bought radios and listened to music...
  5. I didn’t realize the booklets were worth a 300,00-350,00 € premium.
  6. The Petri has been sold. Thank you all for your interest.
  7. For sale is a 38cm Petri Sport wheel (includes hub as shown). The wheel is in great, original condition. Please see pictures below for condition. Price: SOLD
  8. It says Automatic on the back. So why is it a manual??? Why would you spend $20k+ to rebuild a tired old matching numbers engine when you can just buy one on eBay for under $2k that was rebuilt 20 years ago and only has 2 miles on it?!?! Digital Audio Player? Are you on crack? The only music I listen to is the sweet sound of that M10 howling at the moon as I push down, down, down on the accelerator pedal. Scrapper??? I just met her!!!
  9. I’ll give you a $1... just let me know where to send the money.
  10. For what it’s worth I went to buy Bilstein HDs (well, the new version of them) back in January and they were back-ordered with no ETA. I spoke with Blunt about it and he suggested trying the Koni adjustable struts. They took a while to come in but they arrived much quicker than the Bilsteins would have. The Konis look like Bilsteins (yellow) and are adjustable. I haven’t put them in the car yet but my understanding is they are very similar to the HDs. I will admit that I’ve had Konis in previous cars and always liked them so the idea of using them instead of Bilsteins was not an issue for me. Note: I’ve paired the Konis up with H&R springs and ST sways just like I would have with the HDs.
  11. Chris, I’ll check my stash tonight. I should have one for you.
  12. Was your car delivered to France? I noticed that sticker on the driver’s fender. Do you know if that’s original or at least put on by the dealer?
  13. I got my hands on this original parts list with exploded view of the Solex 40 PHH that was published by Deutsch Vergaser Gesellschaft MBH & CO KG. It’s dated April 6, 1967... only a few months before the first 1600tis were manufactured. This helped me when I was rebuilding the original carbs from my car and I’m hoping it will help someone else out. Feel free to upload any additional info you have that might help our fellow FAQers (more specifically our fellow ti owners) out. Enjoy!!!

    Long-Neck LSD

Thanks Hal. I’m looking for factory style clutch (2-3) diff (not planning on doing anything crazy) LSD for now but if my options are limited I may consider. I’ll check in with you soon. Hope all is well!
  15. I know, I know... I'm dreaming, but I know they're out there! If you have an early long-neck LSD or the internal LSD unit please let me know. Ideally looking for a 40% lock for a 3.90 gear set. *** Note: the LSD unit itself is identical to the original 2002 (short-neck) LSDs. If you happen to have the internals for one of them that'll do too! Thank you all for your time!

  17. Are these 235/5 or later models?
  18. Thank you Steve! I will definitely check it out. I’m not sure anyone can restore the set I have (the ones pictured were from an eBay listing I missed a couple weeks back, mine are way worse than that!). Worth checking out though. I’ll let you know if it works out.
