  1. Tuesday wrapped up all the small items ready to go to painter on Thursday and completed the transition to a”Tii”… in the afternoon I fabricated I hold out for my battery.
  2. It’s the best of spring in central Texas this week…65 and sunny… took the Ceylon Gold tii out for a long drive today.
  3. Sorry guys, I don’t have any pictures of a convertible 2002 I only have a Baur…
  4. Friday Greg Resa stopped by to help me install the hood on the Baur and move off the lift as the boss lady is on holiday in Paris with her sister…ready for body shop on Thursday…
  5. Working my way through a ton of little small projects the last couple of days trying to get the car ready for the painter on Thursday of next week… when you glass bead blast a car, there’s an area in the center of the hood /on the trunk lid and the roof of a regular car that you can’t really bead blast for fear of warping the steel… the hood ended up having three layers of single stage paint. I had to use the side grinder with a sanding disk to get it off the chemical stripper would not touch it. Spent better part of two days working on the small trough that catches water that bypasses the canvas roof and funnels it down to to catch basins that drain it out in the wheel wells Misc. repairs…
  6. I never think that much about it being green… But it is Turkis green
  7. Worked a few hours on Saturday to finish up interior floor, a few more small things to handle but should make my date of 3/28 to deliver Baur to Painter…
  8. Spent the last few. Days finishing up the bottom, final welded/sanded/primed/and undercoated…
  9. Not much work on Saturday, move the car onto the lift and hit the panels for about 30 minutes with the grinder…
  10. Worked a few hours on Friday and final installed the two front fenders…next I will be moving car on to lift to finish welding the bottom.
  11. Things got serious today, I had to call in the boss lady to help mount/set the doors. Then I removed the fenders to under coat them getting them ready for final install. the bottom/wheel wells will be painted body color…
  12. Recent sales on bring a trailer, including the car above will support you in showing the owner that the value is more in the five to $7000 range… 5 to 7 to me 72/73 Tii is the way to go…. Best of luck
  13. Another good day, I took a ride in the coupe early and then Worked the rest of Saturday on the doors…. passenger side door. the driver side door…
  14. Friday I finished the last large repair panel in the trunk, many thanks to Jason Gipson for selling/shipping this trunk repair panel to me…stopped early to change the oil in my coupe.
  15. Thursday pretty much finished with the floor not 100%. I will hit it all again with the welder from the bottom when I put the car on the lift after setting the doors. Cut out and installed two stiffener panels between the side rails, and the tunnel…filling the gap left where I cut those existing off an inch plus because of rust…
  16. I’m not much of a welder and can’t really see that well…forgot to turn gas on this morning. Picture of repair panel marked up before cutting. Today I welded in repair panels I cut and fit yesterday… Tomorrow I’ll grind that down/ re-weld as needed/grind again…
  17. Tommy on large gaps I use a piece of copper held in place by super magnets to back up the gap while welding…
  18. Worked on cutting out repair panel and fitting…I cut the repair panel an inch larger each way screw it down and mark with a point from below, and then final fit.
  19. I made a road trip with a couple of 2002 guys up to Waco to meet up with the Dallas bunch… Looks like no work Saturday or Sunday. Pictures of the next patch I plan to start on Monday… patches at deleted, side lights…
  20. It’s Friday, I finished up welding in the front passenger side repair panel and fit the rear passenger side panel, but did not install it as I’m using that space to stand in while working on the other quadrants of floor repair. Pictures of small repair under rear seat…
  21. Nick we plan on attending in 25 with the Verona red Baur I’m working on now…save me a first floor room…
  22. No work on Wednesday again this week …today I spend about six hours fitting this front passenger side floor repair panel.
  23. Added a full length 14 gauge steel plate…
  24. Worked Saturday and today on finishing lower driver side and roughly fit front fender…cut out and started repairing passenger side floors… first patch is a place that Rust uniquely on a Baur there’s an extra brace that catches water when it leaks in from the top..
