in the Spirit of out side the box, after 40 years I wanted an A/C that actually works the unit I used blows twice the CFMs of a standard unit and for me that was always the weak link...
When I was setting up my a/c the guy that helped me used interior coil size / cfm air flow to determine exterior coil size...the interior unit I used blows 840 cfm and the Calculations based on my interior coil size called for my exterior coils to be approximately 10% larger than the two 12 x 16 that I used, the A/C tech assured me that was close enough. .I relocated the hood brackets to allow coils to past behind.
it’s an 74 automatic and I drive it a lot...
