  1. I bought Dot 3 spring pads because after installing bilstein hd and H&R sports the backend on my 02 was lower then the front. Still not completely level but barely noticeable now. Not sure if there is a pad thicker then dot three but I like Eds suggestion.
  2. Question....how did you get it out of the dash? My red pull up piece shattered the first time it touched it and the body with the wires still in my dash. Does it unscrew at the top?
  3. ISO opinions about what type of fabric I should use in the recovering of a set of e21 Recaros. Leather? Vinyl? Cloth? Pattern/ fabric. I redid a set of Recaro specialists which are in my 2002 at the moment with cloth and grey Recaro spectrum cloth. I like them - but not enough bolster. So I’m building another set. Considering the orange spectrum route....have a potential line on some fabric. Fire away - pics appreciated as well.
  4. +1 on 2002 turbo parking brake cable. It's what I did when I went with the e21 rear drums. Think I got it from Rogerstii possibly Blunttech. Also consider the Paul Cain parking brake upgrade. Bought from coupeking. Think they are presently out of stock. My ebrake is solid and has a good feel to it.
  5. Mounted VDO oil, temp and voltage gauges. A Power outlet is also mounted to an aluminum backing plate that is covered with black vinyl. All units are untested and sold as is with dust/grime for patina. Shipping in conus included in the price. Thanks for looking.
  6. It is indeed a 320is..has the big tool tray, Recaros, three point steering wheel etc. The previous owner also put 323i disc brakes in the rear replacing the drums. I have read some older posts here on the faq that this can be done on the 2002. I’ll be considering that, but I mainly wanted this one for the 5 speed trans, LSD and recaros (which will need restoration and recovering). It also has a short shift kit, bilsteins, and has been slightly lowered. This car will stay a driver until I can find a rust free 2002 frame...no sense in switching out the trans/diff twice to put in my current 2002. Will slowly accumulate parts over the winter and likely aim for build next year. If if anyone has a rust free roundie for sale - send me a PM. Have received a couple of options already...
  7. Purchase made ! Accumulating the parts needed for my future build!
  8. What color are your e21fenders....need a Polaris drivers side.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm looking for someone near Lyons Illinois to look at a BMW 2002 that I'm considering buying. I need someone's in person impressions of the vehicles condition. Willing to reimburse for nearby travel costs. The zip code is 60534 . Please PM me so we can coordinate further if you are nearby there. thanks Dionk
  10. Awesome. Where is it located ? Will pm you for details and Pics.
  11. So my subject/title may be a little bit misleading ........ this is pure aesthetics. Just did a temp install of this new to me rear wing/spoiler. Not likely to add much downforce, but it adds to that 70's Hot rodInes I'm going for in my cherished 02. Hope you enjoy and please post pics of your wings/spoilers.
  12. I think Bahamas's heavy feels like the 70s
  13. I know this might be like asking what color socks I should wear but I'm interested in the FAQ opinions. im buying some track magnetic decals (18" white roundels) and I'm seeking your opinion regarding which font I should order for my number. See pics below- thanks in advance!
