  1. Guys, I want to do the VDO vision install in my 76. I know the 3 gauges I want. What senders and what wiring (harness) do I need? Any help on this and install would be appreciated.
  2. Good point on the trunk install. Costco has interstate batteries.

Will the ntsc come with the poster? Any links to where the purchase?
  4. Thanks guys! A great amount of helpful info here. I am flexible on size as my battery is relocated to the trunk. Time to shop!
  5. Not sure I am exactly opposed, more like I wonder about drilling bolts holes. Looked at Elefant. Those don't have a battery tray and are out of stock.
  6. For a 76 do I need more than 500 CCA. I intend to "upgrade" my alternator.
  7. Guys. I know there are threads here regarding correct battery choices and another thread on what stronger alternator to consider. I searched and did not find anything. Any link help would be appreciated. I am running HID headlights, LED tails and want to install a stereo and driving lamps. I am electrically challenged.
  8. Looking for a rear strut tower that secures by wrapping around the strut towers rather than bolt into them. Does anyone make one? I like the Top End very much. Particularly one that includes the battery tray.
  9. Wondering that mysel. On my next day off I will be taking pics. I will post them for discussion and identification. Thanks again guys for all the help.
  10. Wow! So it can happen. My existing struts have no manufacturing mark or brake hose tabs. Started the local search for struts. 4 day driving trip coming up.
  11. Okay. put the mic on used strut, Measures 28. Both OE and non OE bearing fit perfectly. My strut does not have any part # or BMW related info on it. Nor does it have the brake hose mounting tab. I know these are not original to my car. So, I have mystery struts. Looking locally to source a set. I possibly have one salvageable set nearby. BUT, don't tell my pregnant wife I am spending nursery money.
  12. This^^^^ mlytle Do do mean there are races between the bearing and spindle? I will take some pics. Thanks for the help guys. There are 4 of us 02 owners scratching our heads saying WTH?
  13. Strut challenge. My right front bearing/hub/spindle becomes sloppy over a a period about 6 months. The bearing appears to have about a 2 mm gap between spindle and the inner race (ID) of the bearing. It is NOT an OE bearing. When we placed an OE bearing on the spindle the 2mm gap was still there. So, the left side (which did not move top to bottom like the right front) was disassembled. This too had a 2mm gap. Both spindles mic at 26.8. As a check I have borrowed a friends strut, put the OE bearing on it. It fits very snugly. So, what are the chances my spindles have worn equally? No groove or scoring. 76 02 and not the original struts.
  14. I am in central Florida. There are few of us that get together and drive. You are welcome to join up when in Orlando. Boca is beautiful! Get a group together. Not sure if there is one.
  15. Thanks again. A lot of good stuff in life. Not to mention an 02 inspired nursery. Found "Craftsman dresser/changing table." And here I was thinking a lift and pneumatics for the diaper change. I am watching my study slowly being converted. It was the auxiliary man cave. Oh well, Steve McQueen and I can make do with the garage.
  16. Rob S. Thanks! I will do the measure. I also spent the money on the LED rears. Costly but, glad I did. I Florida we inherit out of state/country drivers. With a verona you need all the bright brake you can get.
  17. I would add to that, when item has sold, mark it SOLD.
  18. Elefant Supply. Great service! Great product! Prompt notification of shipping including tracking number. Product arrived quickly and was packaged well. Liked the first item so much we ordered another. Highly recommend!
