I know they respond to enquirers. I’ve dealt with them from the start and had no problems when dealing directly with Stephen. However can’t say the same thing about my recent experience with staff. I assumed that maybe Stephen isn’t running the show anymore.

Is Stephen still running Blunttech? Does anyone know if he’s still active?

I would simply drill a very small hole in the seal cap. Then use a tapered nozzle on my grease gun and force grease into the factory grease port. Shoot some WD40 in there first. This is not a fast rotating gear. On the slop in the gear preventing full closure, I think the problem mostly is the gasket, ( dries up) . Don't think they ever sealed great! On greasing the car in general, a hypo needle on the grease gun pricked into the dust seal will keep those ball joints going a long long time. Do not over grease. The door close restrainer are a pain and a week point. Peter Z
Never use WD40 on any project unless you’re tasked to work around the house and you find that the barn door hinges are little squeaky. WD40 will not dissolve dried out grease. I have tried other purpose made products and none worked even acetone. The above article was the best way to restore this mechanism for me. -

I’m ordering new indoor cover and the shop doesn’t know the correct size for the 02. They only have the template for e21. Does anyone know if the e21 is close enough or any other car that’s close to euro 02? They’re in different state so can’t drive there. Thanks

According to RealOEM, the actual speedometer gear for the 235/5 is the same as the Getrag 242 and 245, part #
The bushing, shaft seal, adapter and O-ring may be different between the 245 and the (235 and 242) transmissions.

Thank you!

What’s the difference between the 710 & 810? How many watts? Thanks

Description:Looking for the speedo gear in good condition for Getrag 235/5. Not sure if the speedo gear on my 245 is compatible.

Interesting to find out which actual part inside the pump that they could modify, maybe a new shape on the cone, modify the cam shaft, increase pressures? Would really like to know I know that there are fellows in Europe that modify the cones for the MFI systems for the 911's and it is in the thousands
Thanks, Rick
they do 911 pumps too. Also build race motors. Here is a link to their fb pagekugelfischer.nl

I’m going to assume that you’re familiar with the caveats associated with modding tii engines in the modern world, e.g., with hotter cams, years after Kugelfischer modding parts and expertise have faded from general availability.
Thanks Steve,
I was looking into sending it to kugelfischer.nl but I haven’t seen any reviews about them yet. They seem to know what they’re doing.
so since my tii is euro spec and pump is going to be completely rebuilt for performance, any model pump is ok as base donor or would you recommend a specific model? Cheers

Could one of you gents tell me if there’s a difference in timing or performance between tii injector pumps from 71-75? I’m trying to source a spare pump to send to specialist to be rebuilt to match the performance upgrades that I’ll be planning and want to know which pump to use as a base. My motor is 73 tii (roundie). Here is the pump I’m looking to buy:

Matt Kane is a good guy and runs a good shop, I think his brother raced an 02, I’ve seen loads of 02’s over the years in there, as well as E9’s
I know these guys. They’re ok with new BMW’s or general mechanical but had no idea about turbo m30 motor. He said he won’t touch classics. But yes, a nice guy. Andrew from AMC rescued my M535i after Brintech ruined it.
motorretro I’ve heard of but never had dealing with. I’ll give them a call after Easter thanks.

for 02’s there are a couple
Do you know any shop in Sydney that knows great deal about 2002's and restoration?
-
Ok, I have already used an alternative m10 to build a performance 02 using the same Tii chassis. I’ve decided to pull the matching motor out of storage and give it a naturally aspirated performance upgrade. My first choice was to do what everyone said here, to keep everything original but here in Australia, there’s no one who know about these cars. They claim to know but I experienced differently when building my e28. I found a shop in Holland to upgrade and rebuild the pump and he’s asking over $7k USD. Just doesn’t make sense. I’d prefer instead of just rebuilding the pump, also have it upgraded for better performance but as discussed, no resources here. That’s is why I’m looking into EFI but I’d consider the oem pump if I find a shop that could do the performance upgrade (for the pump) at a reasonable cost.

Another crazy idea is buy another base 2002 and modify that, lol.
Haha no more space. I currently have a turbo m10 in my 73 tii but plan was to have the original motor sitting on a stand and rebuild slowly as a side project. If I ditch the mechanical pump, I’d still keep it until I can find parts for it like the white plastic injector hoses. Someone did a repro on those while ago and I miss out on it.

Do a search for road going ITB setup, there’s a recent thread I started about it, the Tii will look like a carb 02 with EFI by the time you strip all of the Tii specific bits off, I’d also look at the Jenvey heritage injection, they took side draft bodies and fitted injectors into the mould, Jaymic are running them, looks cool!
I had a look at the kit that Rama sells (he tuned my e28 m535i turbo by the way) and I think the Jenvey is more promising. I’ve currently got a 30psi turbo m10 under the hood and the original tii motors is on shelves.- 1

Not quite sure what you're tending to
I shall remove the oem intake manifold and mechanical injection setup and install individual throttle bodies or keep the original throttle body and run an aftermarket ecu to manage the setup. The oem mechanical pump is too old and limited to power increase unless you have it upgraded by one of those Illuminati shops in Holland which is going to cost a lot of money. If you know a shop that can rebuild and upgrade my tii mechanical pump for a reasonable cost then I’m all for keeping the look. I also need new injector hoses which I can’t find.
-
Has anyone done the EFI upgrade to the Tii incorporating ITB's and if so, can I have some engine shots for encouragement please? As much as I love to keep everything oem, I like to rebuild my original motor with upgraded cam EFI. Cheers

I didn’t really need the feedback but thanks for that. I did have the same experience as everyone else except my last dealing with them. Just wanted to know if Stephen is still the owner and if so, I’ll just forget about it and keep buying from them.
