  1. This bung does seem like the best solution, but it does add an extra component to the stack: bung + NPT to AN + AN elbow. Or were you just gonna go bung + NPT elbow?
  2. Nice!! Good call. The here’s your bung: Vibrant 11174 3/4" NPT Female Weld Bung https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P2D324/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XIYREbP2YJPGH
  3. I’m so confused what to do about shocks to match the H&R Sport Springs now for a daily driver. Let’s wrap up this consolidated knowledge! True or False: With H&R Sport Springs, you can pair either Bilstein Sport (“B8”) or Bilstein HD (“B6”) shocks. (Maybe a phone call to Bilstein would clear this up, lol)
  4. I don’t see why I couldn’t just on an AN-10 bung in the *approximate* original location. Not an OEM turbo/line on my car. My turbo’s recommended return line is a -10
  5. Then weld one of these bad boys on there and call it a day! This may be a dumb question...the oil pan....is....steel....right? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-683720?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwtLT1BRD9ARIsAMH3BtVcfhCDuYe1Y_KvzW7MzfQCqkTwjnvinoz1WGRoQX5fVFPKeEMiMoYaAjvyEALw_wcB
  6. Anyone here have a set of older HD's and can measure the length? And then anyone have a set of "B6" and can measure those?
  7. To @TobyB's comment...since their cost saving measures, has their quality suffered too? You can find their front and rear kits for the B6 and B8 on ECS - ironically the B6 kit is literally 2x the cost of the B8 kit. Is there another alternative that pairs well with the H&R sport springs?
  8. A few years ago - I believe 2017 - Bilstein started taking on more OEM business so their aftermarket products (i.e. the HD and sport struts we're all talking about) became less of a priority. Makes sense - gotta prioritize what makes the money. I uncovered this after having issues in 2018 with getting sport struts for my E30 so I called Bilstein directly.
  9. Then I wonder where ECS gets their stock from 🤔 Although their website says "Ship on May...". If they're just putting that date on their site, and have no intentions of filling that order, I'd be mad - I hate it so much when companies do that.
  10. Hey all - thought some people on here may benefit from this. On the original 2002 Turbo, the oil return from the turbo was through a port in the front of the oil pan. I plan on following this strategy for my build. Instead of drilling a hole in your block or even in your pan, just spend $107.25 and get yourself a Turbo oil pan! https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/oil-pan/11131259290/ https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=2291-EUR-08-1974-114-BMW-2002turbo&diagId=11_2361
  11. Looks like there's only one PN for H&Rs available for the '02: #50401. http://www.hrsprings.com/application/search/results/4/72/1974/ Is this the "sport spring" everyone using H&Rs is using?
  12. Shocks don't determine ride height - the springs do. Seems like this HD + H&R combo makes for a good daily driving combo.
  13. Anybody put an E36 240mm flywheel in an G245? Too big? Also...how does the 228 and 215mm difference effect the starter motor?
  14. So, I've got the rad, condenser, and fan removed - full access to the two nuts - but the nuts AND the threaded shaft (the screw?!) just keep spinning together 🤨 What is going on here!? Is there something between the kidneys and the nut/washer that I need to stabilize? I can't feel anything when I stick my pinky finger in there!
  15. Hey All - my Climaparts-brand "Nostalgic Air" 12x16 is the same dimensions (12x18 overall height/length) and just came in today and I tried to test fit it. The 12" is too tall to clear the hood support. How did you all solve this problem with your 12x16s? If you cut somewhere, did you have to mount the condenser more rearward in the vehicle (and therefore the radiator sits more rearward than OEM?)?
