  1. I'm interested in the AC unit you have. Can you send pictures?
  2. Oh man, yeah definitely not.
  3. Hi, I'm looking for a 318i M42 engine, as my title suggests.
  4. I asked a stupid question and I don't see the delete button so I've just changed the post to this.
  5. Well, I could do with just a new speedo... I think, but otherwise yeah the whole package.
  6. I have a 76' with a broken gauge cluster. If anyone happens to have one in good condition please let me know.
  7. The solex I have right now does work but the choke is like destroyed.
  8. I'm asking because my dad was wondering if I could just switch the carb back to the solex for the smog test since the 38 won't pass in CA, and according to you, that will work? It would only need to run the solex until the test was over.
  9. I've got another question that had to do with my last one. Would this current double barrel Solex carb fit on a cannon intake manifold that the webers are being sold with?
  10. Ok, I'm asking because my dad was thinking of just switching the carbs when it was time for a smog test. I really don't want to give up on the 38 yet, people keep speaking about it too highly.
  11. So say I opened up the manifold and put in the 38. If I wanted to switch back to the one I'm using right now, would it still work? Because apparently they aren't smog legal in CA lol.
  12. So I see the 38-38 and I don't know what that means. Consider me brain dead car part wise. You said you opened up the stock manifold to make it fit, as in like cut it open yourself? Because I'm not sure I could do that, I don't really want to risk it. Also you said it would not come with ideal jetting, yet you didnt say that about the 38-38, so if I bought that one would it require less tuning and modification, because I don't even know what jetting is. Sorry I'm so dumb I'm trying to learn. So I see the 38-38 and I don't know what that means. Consider me brain dead car part wise. 13. Honestly this is my first car, I don't know much about cars yet but I'm trying to get into them. According to my mechanic the main reason we need a new one is because the choke is so messed up, and I believe we currently have a Solex carburetor... at least I think that's its name.
