I sold you the car in WI. I am amazed at how fast your progress is in the restoration! Looking forward to the next post.

Yeah, I think it was a 1973. It is green. I only could take one picture a few years ago. I recently got in contact with the owner who is really old, and I will go and look at it in a bit.

    1974 BMW 2002

I did not read all the replies on here. I just want to add that I have seen this car for sale 1-2 years ago with the same pictures in the same garage. I think it was for sale privately not publicly, but I can not recall exactly how I knew it was for sale.

BMW 2002 US VIN 2744022 was manufactured on May 31st, 1976 and delivered on June 03rd, 1976 to the USA. The original colour was Fjord metallic, paint code 037. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk

I emailed the VIN to find out its delivery date and original color. The response sometimes takes a few days. Otherwise, realoem says the VIN is a 05/1976 BMW 2002 manual.

    1974 BMW Bavaria PRICE DROP

This is a 1974 BMW Bavaria barn find, was sitting since 1989 until 2016 (where it sat again until now). We have a sale paper from 1978 from the dealership in Racine which is still shown on the back of the car. Four years ago the barn finder sold it to his close friend for him to fix up. He never got around to it, so we picked it up from him. We began working on it but our novice skills were not good enough for some of the repairs so we took it to Marks Motor Mechanic in Walworth. The car has new Steel brake lines Tires Brake pads (front and rear) Brake calipers (front and rear) Fuel filter Spark plugs Wire set ATF fluid Trans pan and gasket Weber carburetors Differential fluid Oil and oil filter Brake fluid and booster hose Intake manifold gaskets Exhaust system (very quiet) Starter Wipers Fuel Lines Vacuum lines Battery terminals Tail lamp bulb Brake fluid Wheel bearing seals Water pump Upper and lower radiator hoses Radiator Valve cover gasket Drive belts Thermostat and seal Ignition switch Electric Fuel Pump Re Upholstered Seats Other things noted: Fuel tank was drained, cleaned, and flushed. Engine Compression: #1: 165 #2: 165 #3: 162 #4: 173 #5: 165 #6: 175 The mechanical fuel pump broke and at the time new ones were not available. We had someone hook up an electric fuel pump that is controlled by a switch. If this is not preferred it could easily be removed and gone back to stock, but the fuel pump works quite well. This car is a really really nice driver, and also pretty fast. I think the the paint is original, but it might have been gone over. Looks like someone tried to make it look nice but failed with the buffer and they made some bad marks on the hood. Car needs a nice detail. There are also very tiny bubbles on the car that are noticeable up close. It is a 5 footer. The interior is nice. The dash does have cracks, and the seats are original but we had the foam replaced and they are very comfortable. Everything works such as dome light, the warning signals for when the doors are open or when someone does not buckle their seat belts. Have any questions please ask! Do not hesitate to offer or message me! Thank You
  13. They are saying that car does not look like "Golf" yellow or any other BMW 2002 color and that it must just be a yellow color from an entirely different model car.
