    The exhaust system on my 1976 2002 has reached terminal status, with rust and failing welds. I'd appreciate any recommendations from this forum for a replacement system. My plan is to replace the stock exhaust manifold with a header, along with the entire exhaust system. My engine is stock, with a Weber 32/36, but I'm considering installing a 38/38. I'm looking for a little more power, with a deeper sound. Your recommendations for a header, exhaust and muffler will be appreciated!

    Many thanks, Mike and Toby. The shaft on my carb has no hole, and not enough length to drill one, or for an e-clip, so I was able to stake the end of the shaft with a cold chisel. Worked perfectly!

    Is there supposed to be some sort of circlip on the end of the pivot shaft of the butterfly valves to hold the choke linkage to the pivot shaft? Mine is coming loose, and I think it's a reason I've been having warm start problems. Thanks for your input!

    The wheels are still available.  Based on shipping quotes I got to other locales, I'd estimate shipping costs to be around $150 for four wheels.

    Given their age, I think it's best to install new studs - the originals are rusted, and must be weaker than they used to be. Mine is a 49-state car, but all of the emissions equipment has been removed.

    I'm going to install a new header on my 76 2002, but am concerned about getting the original studs out without breaking them off. 44 years is a lot of heat/cooling cycles! Anyone have any advice on the most reliable way to remove these, and to get a broken stud out if one breaks? Tips on installing the new header are appreciated too. Thanks!
