    No worries!, I didn't take your comment as such. ? PS: I tell people this all the time... "not to make your cars too nice... cause then you're not going to enjoy driving it as much when you do".. ? My anxiety levels are through the roof when I drive Tesoro or Derby... LOL! But I try to zone out and enjoy the roads when they are empty. ? Happy Motoring!

    I don't know if its "better shape"... but I have "heard" that my Derby appears to show its long lasting preservation considering the body and interior is stock on my car. It was important to me to have my Derby stay in its original condition and to make it last longer by refreshing the engine, having it rebuilt with all original and some stock NOS parts, the suspension was redone, exhaust refreshed, and interior is unmolested... Actually, thanks to Anders, he's the one who gave me great guidance on how to keep my Derby in this stock condition. When Jay Leno saw my Derby, he saw something special in it too.. ? I believe both are Derby 1600's are pretty special.

I would like to thank the videographer Sean Fannin who came out to shoot Derby in such a creative way! I would also like to thank Bay Area local Jim Huff who had an quick cameo appearance in this video with his 4 door 1600 Neue Klasse BMW. You can catch his petrolicious video called "the Grey Ghost" also on Petrolicious. My car enthusiast friends are all one of a kind and I enjoy seeing them at car events and just driving around on the roads! As mentioned in the video, appreciating cars are in our blood and we all speak the same language. Take care out there and drive tastefully!

    When the car was imported to the states, the previous owner from Germany had it on, so I just left it on to help save the battery as its a 6volt. However, due to my "neurosis"... I was able to contact Bosch in Germany, and I am having them send me a 6volt battery to install in Derby.. should be here soon... ?

    The period correct AKA "neurotic side" of me convinced me that Derby would not be complete if I didn't get the proper taping done on the wiring harness... Tape is from Germany, the same kind of fabric tape they used from factory. Thank you North Bay Bavarian ! Love the work you have been doing to keep Derby PC! ?

    I think Tapatalk made it easier for me to follow because the alerts were so easy to click on and be directed quickly for example, if someone was selling something I needed, I quickly jumped on it, or if you were saying something important, I was notified of that too.. [emoji6] The ads were annoying as are most ads... but scrolling past it wasn’t a big deal... I found it to be a useful app for me... I tried using the site on chrome and added notifications to go to my email, but that got crowded quick and I had to set up a filter in my email to sort through what I was interested in and then that got overwhelming... I liked the summarization of the alerts that I would get too... such as the screen shot below:

    That’s a bummer... I found that it works pretty well... I love the alerts that I get from the discussion groups, events, and car parts for sale...
