About chicagojeffbmw

  1. Thanks for this article. It was a huge help. I recently re-stuffed the bottom of my 73 tii seat. Things I learned: (1) if you are going to replace horsehair, a 3 inch thick piece of foam--IF it is pretty compressible--will work just about right. (2) build up the wings with about one inch extra for the Recaro-style fit. (3) If your seat material is split, spray-glue a piece of fabric across the inside to take the stress off the splits.
  2. Hi All. I have a pair of new, never mounted dark gray 13 x 7 inch VTO wheels. Zero offset, and obviously 4 x 100 bolt pattern. I got them last season and then wound up using some other wheels for vintage racing. They were $765 new including shipping last year. Respectable offers welcome. Thanks, Jeff Ah, I meant that I have a set of four...not just a pair!
  3. I might sell my '73 vintage racer. Probably 25K. What are you looking for?
  4. Price:: 225 Location: : Chicago Used but perfectly serviceable gas tank from '73. It does not leak and is not rusty (just the old orange foam on the edges in the picture). Was replaced with a fuel cell, hence, I don't need it anymore. Pickup in Chicago area. $225 obo. Thanks, Jeff
  5. Hi Andrew. Looking for a set now for my '73 2002 race car resto.
