  1. Great, thanks guys, I’ll go to the Eurosunday with my son.
  2. Is this event still going on in Sacramento? Joel 1969 2002
  3. Complete rear subframe and suspension from my project 1968 2002. Driveshaft included. Been garaged for the past 27 years, all rubber will need to be replaced. Local pick up only please.
  4. Resolution: finally after a day of phone calls, I found a place that specializes in older cars. They inspected it, tested the brakes, and passed it. The place is called Modern Classic Automotive for anyone who lives in the Sacramento Area. Thanks for the discussion! Joel
  5. The car has already been vin verified by the dmv, this is the only thing I’m missing. The guy showed me his reference info, and it did say 1969 and later.
  6. I took the above car in today to get the brake and light inspection, guy said he couldn't pass it because it didn't have side marker lights. This is an original California car, and never had them, so I'm not sure how to proceed. Has anyone had this issue?
  7. Hi Peyton,

If for some reason it is clear tomorrow, I'm busy from 10-11:30. If it's still smoky I'm available. I will make a decision by 9 am.

I'm also pretty much free anytime as well. Are you building a 1600?

    Joel

    1. 1600

      1600

Hi Joel, seems like it's clearest in the early morning, at least up in Auburn it is.  We can make it quick to spare us both from the poor air quality and the COVID thing.  I need a stock driveshaft for a '74.  My 1600 is in the process and am not sure if I'm going 4 or 5-speed yet

  8. I would let it go for $300 at this point. I have a ton of parts if you are looking for other things as well. It was rebuilt at Driveline Service of West Sacramento, I may even have a receipt somewhere.
  9. I would like to see a replacement fuse box that uses modern blade type fuses instead of the torpedos.
  10. Hi Guys, I thought I'd finally contribute here. I'm resuscitating an early 1969 2002 here, and since it's a mixture of Euro, 1600 and 2002, some of the smaller parts are NLA. 1. For the nose panel grommets where the headlight and horn wiring goes through, I have found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-1-25mm-Lucas-Black-Rubber-Wiring-Grommet-x-2-Part-No-863123/141459890646?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 I haven't installed it yet, but it should work well. 2. My car has been sitting for so long, that I have decided to re-do all ,of the brake lines with these connectors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KNGVV0S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and copper/nickel tubing. This stuff is so easy to work with, you can bend everything by hand. This tool https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W8GGTYS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is fantastic for making the flares, throw all of your other tools away for this. Finally I found that vinyl drip line tubing makes for a great insulator when putting the brake lines in the body clips. I hope this will help someone out. Joel
  11. It is the stock length sorry. You could shorten it though.
  12. Good points, I have no experience with 3D printing, so I guess a little naive. Would be nice though, tired of those torpedo fuses.
  13. Try Shatz & Krum, they are very helpful and raced 2002s in the day. They are helping me with my build. https://schatzandkrum.com/gallery/ JM
  14. From Sacramento here as well, fixing up a 1969 2002. What I think would be cool is if someone could 3D print a fuse block that used the newer blade type of fuses. Is that a possibility? JM
