  1. Yes, I have seen that as well. The issue is I have both sets of inner and outer tie rod ends, along with a new center link. Past the return time on them, so I will have to work with what I have. Thank you
  2. Finally got around to pulling out my entire tie rod assembly. Only one side of the center link gave me problems, but it eventually dropped out. While out of the car, I noted that the tube that the inner and outer tie rods screw into is quite beat up (on both sides unfortunately). The old tie rods, which seem to be original, are in essence fused into the tube. The threads that are showing from the tie rods are completely rusted over. Even if I got the old tie rods to spin out of the tube, I would think they would be pretty much unusable from that point anyway. Would anybody have some useable spares laying around? I would need 2 of them; one for each side. I am of course willing to pay for the items and shipping. I have found some aftermarket listings for the tubes, but they want close to $70 a piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Even if I got the old tie rods to spin out of the tube, I would think they would be pretty much unusable from that point anyway. Is there any source for purchasing just the two tubes? I have seen the entire "outer" assembly that comes with both new inner and outer ends, but I already purchased all new inner and outer tie rods ends (along with a new center link). Any sources for them?
  4. The oil sender threads in mine are somewhat stripped out, and I think there is a small crack as well. Let me know what you have. Doesn't need to be pretty, just functional. Thank you!
  5. Yep, I think I have it all set. I was confusing myself since I switched to a mechanical only distributor when I had the sidedrafts.
  6. Just seeing if anybody has some easily-accessible pictures of an installed Weber 38. I found some older topics with info, but the majority of the pictures are dead or missing. I'm in the process of installing my new 38 with Cannon manifold and I'm trying to remember where stuff routes to and from. I previously had dual 40 dcoes with the coolant hoses bypassed, and since I don't have the bottom piece for routing the coolant to the cannon manifold, I'm going to stick with that for now. That eliminates the angled upward facing hole at the middle of the manifold. Then I have the brake booster hose hole with the needed fitting, so that is taken care of. That leaves me with a small threaded hole on the manifold that basically faces the fuse box which I'm not too sure about, as well as a vacuum fitting on the carb itself, which I'm also not sure if I need to connect anything to. Any pictures or help would be great. Thanks.
  7. Looking for the stock rod linkage, plus the firewall mounting pieces and lever. Thank you.
  8. Yes, it looks like the easiest thing to do is just piece together the needed stock pieces. Hopefully I still have some of it laying around from when I had a 32/36. Thanks.
  9. So what I have surmised so far from going through old threads that are still available is that there is no way to rig up the 38 using an all cable setup. Is the IE weber 38 linkage kit what I need to revert back to the stock rod setup that is compatible with the rod linkage that is coming with the kit (that and an extra return spring)?
  10. Tried looking for answers through the search but it just added to my confusion. I previously was running dual 40 dcoe's with a top mount linkage that was connected to an aftermarket throttle cable that went straight to the pedal. I am in the midst of reverting to a Weber 38 through a kit that utilizes the rod style linkage. Is there a way to use the Weber 38 without switching back to the original (stock) rod style linkage? You'll have to excuse me if this is an obvious answer, I don't have the kit in front of me yet but want to know if I have to order other parts to get it all working. Thank you.
  11. Let me know what you have. Thank you -Will
  12. It does look that way, just wanted to be sure. I'm not sure why so many websites distinguish between left and right front brake hoses. Thanks.
  13. I'm looking at replacing the front brake lines on my '76. I don't think I need to go with stainless flex lines at this point, so I have been looking at "stock" replacement lines from places like Rockauto. Are the 4 hoses for the front all interchangeable, meaning I just order 4 front brake hoses? Thanks for the clear-up.
