Where you show the "vent" mine was originally without one. Possibly your sunroof was added later?

I noticed you haven't reinstalled the ventilation bit at the rear ? Is that the accepted wisdom when installing a new headlining ? It probably makes the job much easier.
Uh, what ventilation bit at the rear???

Battery is under rear passenger side seat (right rear). Its a Big Crank ETX-16L. Specifics found using the link. There is info from others using this battery in various blogs http://www.batterymart.com/p-Big-Crank-ETX16L-Battery.html?gclid=CjwKEAiAqozEBRDJrPem0fPKtX0SJAD5sAyHCmskistfammhrIYw4pfFRcH70GSi4sJLoyDwys60FxoCxNTw_wcB.
The fanfare relay (horn) is located as original just above and to the left of the voltage regulator above the power block. Other relays for lights etc. will be mounted in close proximity.

Is the diff cover painted silver or powder coated?
Powdercoating and looks much brighter in the photo than in person

Nice to see them taping the lines while sanding.
They've been methodical and detail oriented the whole time. It seems to take a long while so I've reset my expectations clock a bit and have just been sitting back and watching.

From my body and paint guys recommendation we blasted first so he could see where the rust was. The obvious areas were cut open and anything else showed after blast. His intent is to have bare metal to weld to. Doors etc will now be removed for prep. The dry valley air should dramatically reduce any chance for oxidation / rust.
Wish I could make Brisbane this year but I'll be out of area on business. Have fun!

HD's for now, all urethane bushings and stiffer sway bars front and rear with some rear subframe mount stiffeners. Foothills are close to home as are plenty of other fun roads on the coast and on the way to Yosemite. If it's too stiff will change them but the attempt is for a "go cart" like feel and it's not gonna be a daily driver. Plan on making the drive to Phoenix via Bakersfield / Flagstaff to see Young-son when it's finished and broken in. Will figure out the tires later. Not sure I'll stick with the Alpinas as they are 13's and all I can find are Toyo Proxes. Might look at 14" wheels (Minilites??) later...

2.25” diameter.
My thoughts initially were the tailpipe was a bit long yet I’m leaving it. If I don’t like the look down the road it can be trimmed.
