    1531676

The BMW Archive shows that this early 1967 BMW 1600, VIN 1531676, was built on July 10th, 1967 and the title delivered to BMW importer Hoffman Motors in New York City on July 26th, 1967. There’s a very good possibility that it was imported directly to an authorized California BMW dealer. This is a blue-plate California car that I purchased while living in Virginia and brought to Texas where it is currently garaged. The odometer shows 64,684 miles. The paint is reportedly all or mostly original in the rare Bristol color, paint code 058, per the Archive. As far as rust goes, the car is in great condition. There is some light surface corrosion on the car’s uncoated metal parts but no “rust through” is visible. The car runs and drives fine but, as mostly any classic car, needs constant care...
