  1. Paul, good to hear from you again, it's been awhile. I'm looking for just the window cranks, and I don't know what they are, but the feature a long, narrow, tapered round nub, unlike the ones above. They seem rare, and I'm pretty sure they are not original to my 73, but maybe from a very early 1602 or a 2000? You know what I mean?
  2. I'm looking for a complete and clean set like these: https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/243276-early-nk-1600-window-crank-handles/
  3. Hey folks, I'm looking for window cranks, has anybody got a spare pair? Or maybe just one? Perhaps some trim? I have 1 crank without the trim, and I'd like to complete the pair. Regards, Patrick
  4. As per the subject, I'm looking for a pair of Neue Klasse window cranks, ideally a clean pair, but I'm interested in what ever you have of the NK style. Regards, Patrick
  5. I'm pretty sure I have what you're looking for, I'd trade it for a "fasten your seatbelts" light assembly. Is that reasonable? Regards, P@
  6. Harry, have you got a set of window cranks available?
  7. Hey all, I'm looking for a black passenger door armrest, 1 window crank(the type with the long, slender knob, not the short fat one), the plastic trim for my existing window crank, the plastic trim for both inner door release levers, and the center piece for the quarter vent window knob. I realise the trim piece may be hard to find, so I'm not opposed to a complete set of window cranks and door release levers. Ideally there's somebody out there that has all the parts I need and I can finish my interior in one shot. Thanks for looking. P@
  8. Looking for inner door handles, window cranks, black passenger armrest, trim for quarter vent knobs.
  9. I have Grote 7" LED and I can't imagine ever going back to incandescent. Tonnes of clear light output with a fantastic, sharp cut-off on the low beam. High beam is rarely needed. Highly recommended. Bear in mind, I'm a heretic that swapped an F20 into my car, so of course the purists won't care for my experience.
  10. I'm looking for a black passenger armrest, a window crank handle with the long. narrow plastic nub, the chrome trim piece for a drivers armrest, a black plastic surround for the steering column(the section that the stalks pass through) and the 2 trim circles for the quarter vent window wheels.
  11. Hey guys, I need the upper threaded section of a strut, just the top 4" where the gland nut attaches. I've got no need for the whole strut, so chop the top off your crappy pitted-axle strut and sell it to me!
  12. I have an entire torsion bar setup, in really good shape, it's yours, along with all the hardware, for $40+shipping. Problem solved. I converted to gas struts, the torsion bar system functions great.
  13. I'm pretty sure I could. If I do, you'll see a post.
  14. I'm a bit late to the party here, and I'm not looking to cause a stir, but this mod is even easier to do than Pinepig suggests. The 10mm ball socket can be bolted directly to the nosepiece/inner fennder, foregoing the need for the bracket. All that I had to do was trim off about 2.5cm of the rolled edge of the fender/rad support, and cut off the stock support bracket from the fender apron. The upper mount is exactly as described. I used p/n 735-1896 ball studs from NAPA, and p/n 819-6530 gas struts, also from NAPA. You will need to shim the lower ball socket out to get adequate clearance.
  15. I took Das Moneypit up to iCar for the Eurokracy event where it qualified for the top-100 in the Show'n'Shine on Saturday, earning best BMW Sunday afternoon.
  16. I'm planning on doing all of the events, but I'm not planning on trying to win anything, let alone destroy my car. I am not a burnout-slut...
  17. Chargin beat me to it on both fronts. And though you stated that you want to stay with a BMW mill, the F20 is a badass engine, with the slickest shifter ever made, that makes the 2002 an absolute blast to drive. I've had my '02 setup in a variety of different configurations, 292 cam, header, KF-injection, etc, but since I've dropped an F20 into the car it's been a totally different car. I can't imagine a more suitable engine; lightweight, rev-happy, musical, powerful, and totally refined below 6k, but a monster on VTEC. My car is 202HP at the wheels on a Mustang and it's perfect.
  18. Hey man, I'm a proud 2002-owner in the West Island; do you feel like exchanging contact information so we can do 2002 things around town?  Like cruising, show'n'shines, donuts/burnouts, general tom-foolery and maybe a bit of posing/neck-breaking?  I'm going to Eurokracy next weekend and I'd love to find any local 2002 guys so that we can represent out there.

  19. Is there anybody out there planning on attending Eurokracy in Mirabel at the iCar grounds next weekend, June 16&17? If anybody is going, and they feel like, maybe we could all meet up and drive there together? I'm heading in from the Western end of the island of Montreal, so let me know. It would be pretty cool for a little convoy of us to drive out and park together. Regards, P@
  20. West Island of Montreal reporting in. Anybody going to Eurokracy next weekend? Could be cool to roll out as a convoy and park together. Message me if you wanna meet up. P@
  21. I'll put one together over the weekend if it stays dry here; the old guy doesn't do rain.
  22. Mike, thanks for the compliment. I absolutely adore the new engine, I actually can't even express how great the motor is. Purist will say M10, proper build, blah-blah, but no, it's a night and Day difference between the M10 and the F20C. The temperament of the F20C suits the car so well. If you like the idea of an S14 in a 2002, then you'll love an F20C in a 2002. If you're looking for low end, why bring and F20 into the mix? It's as pure a high-revving motor as they come, and shifting at 9k is rad. So everybody, stop asking about low end from an F20C; it doesn't have much, nor was it designed to have much. Life begins at 6k, and it's awesome. All that being said, in the lightweight car the motor seems to have more low end than in the S2000; my car pulls considerably harder than my buddys AP2 off of VTEC, even though I'm running an AP1. It goes without saying that when VTEC engages that I continue to pull away from him. I have had my car dyno tuned at RD Turbo in Montreal, and the VTEC engagement has been changed from stock to 5200rpm. And then there's the gearbox and shifter...
  23. My crotchety old guy turned 45 today, so I got him a new OEM trunk seal. If you're interested in checking out this crotchety old buggers heart transplant, #dasmoneypit on Instagram.
  24. Thanks Saul, prolly a little more than I was looking to spend, but I'll keep you in mind.
  25. This is actually my car, I sold the motor in the Fall to the current seller. His description is close enough to the reality that I've come to understand in the 5 years I owned it, but as stated I bought the car sight unseen on eBay in the Fall of 2012. I really like the color, as does almost everybody who sees the car. I've had many positive comments on the paint. I don't know the name, as I bought the car already painted, but I'm attaching a photo of the label from the can of paint that I found in the trunk the car. I do know that it's BASF Diamont paint, though I can't seem to find any information on the codes. Needless to say, the cars provenance is mostly unknown and patched together in odd coincidences. Let me know what you turn up as I might find it useful as time moves on and I need to re-touch it.
