  1. Just wondering how this turned out. THX
  2. These look cool. Wish there was a photo of them on a 2002. GLWS
  3. I too had great success emailing Andrew. He responded quickly and sent part immediatelly.
  4. When I first got my car back in 2012 it had a factory trailer hitch. I banged my shin soon after the truck dropped the car off. I think I removed that thing 2 hours later. I kind of think I would have kept it.
  5. Installed my Koito H4 kit today. Easy peasy. I can now drive with low beams on. Before, I always drove at night with high beams just to be able to see. Thing is, nobody ever flashed me because the brights weren't even that bright. before.
  6. Man I love those recaros. They appear to be the same ones I have. Maybe one day I will redo mine.
  7. Thats very cool. I just watched his petrolicious video on YouTube a few days ago. GLWS
  8. My 245 also has the same style shim. I just put it back. I have yet to run my new to me 245.
  9. Greg, These look very comfortable. Too bad they're not black or charcoal. GLWS Walter
  10. I bought this IE kit for my 245. It has the correct length linage. I ended up not using the bracket but the linkage seems fine. Shift Plate for 5-Speed Conversion – 2002 – Ireland Engineering | Racing & Performance Parts for BMW & MINI WWW.IEMOTORSPORT.COM Each
  11. When I found my car back in 2012, I knew nothing about 2002's or even cars for that matter. I cant remember how I found this forum but there is no doubt that without it, I would have lost interest in 2002's and probably would have sold the car long ago. I don't post much, but I am on this forum every single day, without fail, trying to learn as much as I can. I almost never say never, but I will never sell this car and as long as this forum is around, I will continue to frequent it. Walter
  12. Agree... I'm not sure why he went off the deep end from someone simply asking why.
  13. After about 2 mins of heat from a torch, that puller you see in the photo made quick work of pulling that drop arm arm.
  14. Going to try my hand at refreshing my spare steering box. If all goes well, I'll replace the leaking one that's currently in the car then refresh that one for a spare. From my untrained eye, the innards look fine. What you all think?
  15. Heck, I should sell my 245 that's been waiting to go in for almost 2 years and buy this one. I paid a lot more than 1100
  16. If it supported the stock speedo it would probably already be gone at that price.
  17. Yes, you can replace the lines without too much trouble. Same thing happened to me last year. I replaced all of the hard lines. It will take patience getting the pre bent lines attached to the firewall and over to the PS of the car, but it can be done. I bought a new set from Ace Andrew.
  18. I really appreciate the blocking ideas. I "always" have three means of support whenever I'm under my car, sometimes four. Jack stands, ramps, two rims with tires under each frame rail, and sometimes the jack itself depending what I'm working on. If my car ever falls on me it was meant to be.
