  1. I really appreciate the blocking ideas. I "always" have three means of support whenever I'm under my car, sometimes four. Jack stands, ramps, two rims with tires under each frame rail, and sometimes the jack itself depending what I'm working on. If my car ever falls on me it was meant to be.
  2. Thank you... Thats why I have the ramps and spare tires that aren't shown in the phots as backups under the car. Most of the weight is resting on the tires.
  3. Its not hard at all. The worst part is keeping grease from getting on everything. Its a little tricky removing and reinstalling the ball bearings but you'll quickly figure it out. Search the forum there are a few good how to posts on how to do it. Trust me, If I can do it anyone can. I didn't buy a new boot as I already had a spare that came in a lot of parts that I bought. Also, be careful when prying off the end covers. You can butcher them if not careful.
  4. Replaced a leaky boot on the DS halfshaft. While I was under there I removed the surface rust and hand painted the gas tank and spare tire well. Fellow FAQ'er Zinz inspired me as he posted a photo of the same a few days ago.
  5. Yeah, great price. I've been chasing a slight frontend vibration for some time now, and If it were an hour closer to Columbus I would take it.
  6. This might help BMW 2002 FAQ - BMW 2002 Torque Specifications.mht
  7. Social Security? You don't look a day over 50 Larry. 😉
  8. Cleaned these up today. I think I'll run them for a while and give the 15's a break. 13x 5.5- I bought them here from a faq member about a year or so ago. I don't know much about them. I simply like the way they look. Keeping them clean will be a PITA but so what, a lot of things on these cars are a PITA. 😎
  9. Also interested in one of the heater boxes if you could send me photos. THX
  10. Ed Jenkins I tried to send a PM but you cant receive messages. My email is bridgengee@yahoo.com
  11. I think I have one that's about 4 years old. I can send some photos later today if you're interested.
  12. I have this one you could have if you could somehow get to Columbus to pick it up. It came in a spare engine when I bought my car. All I know about it is that it was in a wrecked 76 car.
  13. Yes! canister is still available
  14. Sorry Larry! I actually sold the one that I had last year.
