    Hey guys I'm buying a new Weber 32/36 manual choke carburetor and I'm looking for advise anyone has to install the manual choke cable? My car currently has a water choke but I was having trouble with it leaking and the carb is old so I'm just buying a new one. Also I intend to buy it from carburetion.com has anyone bought one from here and if so is it a real Weber? The price is just so much lower than other companies. Thanks for your advice

    I'm going for more of a "professional" (imo) look rather than just laying the mesh across the back and calling it good...kind of like the pontiac g6 grill

    Mike, Thank you for your input! i was thinking of doing all grilles including the center grill, but i do agree with the flimsy nature of the grilles. Mine are in terrible shape so I'm not too worried about cutting up my set, which has also had repairs to the horizontal slats and looks horrible but i just was not sure if my idea of this had ever been attempted yet! guess not but I'm still deciding on whether i will actually do it!

    Hey guys I'm currently working on my 73' bmw 2002 project and I'm wondering if anyone has attempted or seen a mesh grille insert for the kidney and left and right headlamp grille sections? I'm just looking to attempt a aftermarket look on my project but not really too sure if it will impact the classic signature look of the bmw kidney! thanks for your help!

    Hey all i'm looking for all the body seals for my 73' 2002 and i've seen the door seals and window seals on the bmw website but they are extremely expensive and not something i was looking at spending a whole lot of my build budget on. Does anyone know where to get cheaper seals? Thanks

    Hey guys I'm currently in the middle of my restoration build of my 1973 BMW 2002 roundie and I've ran into some problems with finding parts. I've been on pelican and autohausaz but haven't found some parts I need (ie. Door seals, mirrors, headliner) and I'm just wondering what you guys use to get parts?

    I have a unknown part located in the front right of the engine bay behind the right headlight. It has one hose connected to a small radiator located in front of the main radiator. The other part of the hose is not connected and I'm wondering where that goes also? Thanks

    So i finally got my 2002 up and running since i bought it! what a great feeling! anyways today i was messing around with the idle speed screw and idle mixture screw and i couldnt get the car to idle at 700-900rpm i tuned the mixture screw to the best point, then when i would adjust the speed screw to lower the rpm it would get really rough and almost die. If i had the speed screw where it stayed alive then it would idle at 1600rpm. anyone know what im doing wrong? or should i just stay out of this part of the restore and have a shop do it for me? thanks for the help!

    I recently bought a 1973 2002 that was not running because the carburetor needed to be rebuilt. After the rebuild i was looking through the fuel system and saw that the vapour purge line was cut off in the engine bay and i have no clue where it goes lol. ive looked at many pictures to see if i could spot it but i havent been able to. can anyone help!?     I have 2 front seats from a e36 and im curious if anyone has done this before with all the wiring included in power seats? or am i just better off getting a manual seat which is older...easier option but i feel the power seats would be well worth the work!

    Im looking to get new wheels and finding 4 lug wheels that i like is difficult so i just wanted to get the 5 lug i prefer! Has anyone done this?

    I have a haynes repair manual but not a weber manual. im mostly just looking to buy a new carb instead of fix the old one since its missing a few pieces. i just dont know where to start

    So i recently got a 1973 2002 and it needed the carb rebuilt. So ive spent the past month trying to figure it out, after thinking it through ive decided to just buy a new carburetor and start fresh. The carb it came with is a weber 32/36 DGAV water choke. while trying to fix it i noticed i didnt have very much fuel going to the carb! could this be the fault of my carb? or my fuel pump? One thing i want to know is should i replace my carb with a water choke or get a electric choke? also i wanted to upgrade the fuel system to a electric pump instead of a mechanical pump. can anyone lead me in the right direction on how to get started with this? any answer to any of my questions will be great help! i am new at working on cars and took on this project as a learning experience to greater my knowledge on cars! thank for the help!
