  1. as the title states, after owning two 2002s over the last 10 years and foolishly selling them both off, I am back in the market and looking for something nice again, this time as a keeper. I’m located in NJ and looking for something within a few states distance. Feel free to DM me if you have a good one you’re looking to sell. Not interested in automatics, but other than that my preferences are wide open. Thanks !
  2. Been feeling nostalgic lately and missing my old 2002 which I sold about 5 years ago in NJ. Wondering if anyone on this forum happens to be the current owner or if anyone has seen it recently. it was a 2-tone grey and silver 76 with tan Scheel-Mann front seats and was last seen on these e30 15” wheels.
  3. Helllo, I’m in NJ and interested. Please PM me price and details thanks!
  4. SOLD. I told the new owner about the FAQ and you may seen him posting in here soon. Thanks to all for their help and info. It was a good run!
  5. New ad, new pictures....... http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/5809503373.html Long story short, it's gotta go. Too many cars at my house now. Will sell it for 13500k for any FAQ member.
  6. Bob Marley and the Wailers BMW logo sticker.... And a bmwcca and 2002faq grill badge (Oh, and I have 2002faq stickers on the Windows of my 135i haha)
  7. Where are you guys all finding these bbs rs in 15x7!?!? I'm dying for a set but can never find any
  8. 2002 to-do: 1. Dump large pioneer stereo and aftermarket EQ installed from the prior owner and replace with period correct retrosound radio 2. Somehow source some BBS RS 4x100 wheels and sell my Rotas and Zenders 3. Disconnect and delete the "alarm system" the prior owner installed 4. Replace both door seals 5. Track down and fix that pesky rear turn signal issue 6. New chrome trim strip in both windshield gaskets That's about it.... Little things really
  9. I've got a stock rebuilt engine, Weber 32/36, custom header and exhaust, and that's about it for me. I'm personally in the "it's more fun to drive a slow car fast" camp and wouldn't upgrade my 2002 further even if given a free engine. If I want to go really fast, I've got my 135i. If I want to go even faster, I drive a Tesla. But I have more fun in the slow little 2002 than any other car.
  10. My other car is a 2012 135i, purchased specifically because it's the closest thing I could find to a 2002 in a modern car. It's a good time but I have more fun in the 2002
  11. In for the answer on the blower motor. I've got the same problem and can't narrow it down
  12. put these new wheels on today.... Zender 15x7 on some Nexen 195/45 tires. (Note that my previous Rota RB 15x7 have 195/50s and there is definitely a rub on the front wheel wells under hard bumps. These new 195/45 are absolutely a perfect fit)
  13. Im in Summit, near Short Hills Mall. And yeah, I am definitely up for a drive!!
  14. Hey all Just wanted to put up a post to say hello. There isn't any NJ specific forum on here, so I figure I would come here and say hello. There aren't many 2002s in NJ that I know of, but I'm only about 15 miles west of the Holland Tunnel so I will continue to lurk in here and maybe come out to some of these get togethers you guys get going. Would love to see some other 2002s in real life and pick your brains for further knowledge. Cheers Scott
  15. Seems like I get more thumbs up attention from the Volkswagen crowd than anyone else when driving my 2002. I did have two guys on this weird thing flag me down on the highway a few weeks ago, and tell me the 2002 was cool:
  16. Like the title states, I'm looking for someone local to NJ or otherwise brave enough to ship me a great-condition rear bumper. I don't need the sides, the shocks, or anything else other than the nice shiny 76 rear bumper itself. Willing to pay shipping on my end or can pick up in NY-PA-NJ
