    I haven't been on this site in a while the 02 has been coming togeather slowly. I haven't had too much time to work on it, I've have been focused on selling various BMW parts on eBay to fund my project and working on other projects like my brothers 89 E30 s52 swap. Its coming time to finish the 02, But i have to say its fun learning all these vintage Bmw's. The pics i have posted are old and there are updated pics coming soon. When ever i work on the 02 is free time and I'm sure like a lot of you its hard to come by. Here is a pic of my brothers s52 ))))

    I thought about running it the other way gonna keep an eye on it. I might have to change it.

    I just cut it mostly to make room for the radiator, and to make things easier im sure you could do it without cutting it all out.

    Hey Im glad to hear that the transmission is holding up for you, it never gave me problems. I still have that motor if you or know anybody that is looking for one. I Have a bunch of parts left over and will be posting them up here soon. I probably will put the front bumper on for a while till i figure out what im gonna do in the front end. We need to meet up soon i would love to check out your 02. Im working on the exhaust now so i should be able to drive around soon.

    I wanted to share my project that i have been working on for the past 10 months. To start it off i bought the car about a year and a half ago. The car had around 160k on it came with the stock m10 and 4spd trans. I drove the car for about 6 months and loved it but it just needed a little more power for me. I did a lot of research on the m20 swap and i have owned other e30's before so i knew it was the swap for me. Here are some pictures before the swap.(first time posting pictures so forgive me if i mess up) Heres some pics of the motor and trans (M20b25 and g260 trans) Took out the old motor and transmission rust everywhere looks to be mostly from leaking fluids. So after getting everything out of the engine bay i decided it was time to cut part of the front end and make some room so i can get the new motor in and start measuring and making adjustments. motor just hanging from hoist. I will post some more pics soon as i get them uploaded to my computer. [/img]

    Yeah we need to meet up i havent drove the car yet just got to finish up the throttle linkage and waiting on a new Ecu to show up. Hows your car coming along?

    Finally figured it out today couldn't find no Vacuum leaks so I switched a ecu with a convertible And that was the problem started up fine and idles Perfect thanks allot for all the help. I will be making A build thread as soon as I learn how to post pictures. Thanks allot again -Andrew

    Thanks everyone for all the input. I have not Had the injectors proffesionally cleaned I'm going To try the smoke test tomorrow at work we have a Smoke machine. If that come back good I'm gonna swap Ecu with my convertible. One of the weird things that is Happening is when I pull out the oil dipstick It helps out the idle. And if I unplug the Icv The car dies and the injectors keep spraying Fuel when the motor is not running until I plug the icv back in. Thanks again for all your help will keep you updated.

    I have a 75 2002 that i swapped a (1990) m20 with g260 trans. I Have been working on this car for the past 10 months got it running about 2 days ago. The problem i am having is it wont idle for the life of me. when u crank it up its starts out as High idle for about 8 seconds then it just immediately revs down then revs back up and just doesn't stop in that sequence. I tried swapping parts with my convertible that runs fine. I tried swapping air flow meter, Idle control valve. I looked for vacuum leaks with brake clean could not find anything. I also Put all new seals and gaskets except for the head gaskets have all new relay's (main,fuel,02) New crank sensor, timing belt exc. I am using the 173 ECU (dme). bosch 044 fuel pump. If their is anyone that could help me out or point me in the right the direction i would greatly appreciate. thanks. -Andrew

    I have a motor and transmission from my 2002 for sale. Im in the process of a m20 swap and nearly done so i have no need for this stuff. Im asking$300 for motor and transmission it is a 4spd. The motor has 160k on it. it does not have the carburator though i sold it but intake manifold is still their. I have a video of the motor running before i started the swap.     I have a motor and trans out of my 75 2002 has webber carb (32/36) and has about 160k on motor odometer stopped working at 150k. Motor does smoke a little (blue smoke). I have never had any overheating issues I was daily driving it for the last 6 months never had any thing go wrong. . Took motor out im doing the m20 swap. Trans is in good condition does not grind gears at all smooth shifts reverse works great no problems getting it in to gear, Im asking $550 for motor and trans I also have other parts Im selling listed below. -alternator -starter (pretty much brand new) -drive shaft (brand new) -Ansa exhaust their is other parts im missing cant really think of all them at the moment I am located in Cary,NC.
