  1. Working on cross breeding as we speak. They're sleeping together but so far nothing's sticking!
  2. Look who just woke up from her long Winters nap! Spring has arrived in NE Ohio! Greg
  3. TK, Welcome to the neighborhood. I'm about 40 miles south. Greg
  4. I've had this one clamped on my '74 for the last couple of years, no issues with damaging the gutters. Greg
  5. GAHH Automotive https://www.gahh.com/
  6. Dave- I was running 195/60-14, these just went on this morning. I'll let you know what issues I run into. Greg
  7. Joined the CN36 tire club today. Greg
  8. A refreshing read back on the FAQ, Thanks Anders!
  9. Give me a shout as well if there's a meet up and poke. Greg Dalton, Ohio
  10. I'm surprised to hear that as Pittsburgh is home to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. I would think there would be a vintage car culture there. Have you tried networking with some of the local car clubs? To offer some recommendations when I restored my Mustang, I used Qual-Krom up in Erie for all my chrome plating work and Bruce Dell over in the Youngstown area for metal polishing and dent removal, he's amazing. I had the same problem in the Canton, Ohio area finding a plater that would do small batch work. What you have to remember is that these commercial platers are in business to make money, ie: volume. I was able to get around that by getting the owner to take an interest in my project, show him my car and what I was trying to accomplish. He agreed to plate my basket full of parts and in return I took him for a drive when the car was complete, we became friends, somewhat. Hope this helps, Greg https://qualkrom.com/ https://www.dellmetalpolishing.com/
  11. "While they looked great, I got very tired of cleaning them, and even more tired of needing to replace a lost center cap about every 6 months to a year, so I finally sent them back to an E30 and went with Panasports." I too, tired of losing the center caps, so I did away with them! Greg
  12. Steve- Just trying to educate myself, when you say the late '74 seats are different, are you talking about the upholstery (which I'm aware '74 upholstery is a one-off year) or are you talking about the actual seat construction? Thanks, Greg
  13. There's just something magical about an unadulterated original car. As easy as these cars lend themselves to be modified and personalized, we still need a "home base" to remind us where they came from. Greg
  14. Dave- If I'm not mistaken, I got the idea to do the rims from an earlier post of yours. Greg
  15. Richard- I'll have to check and see what they used for paint. They shot Schutz under the paint. I believe the Schutz and black out were all factory, at least on the lighter colored cars. We just forgot that detail when I did the repaint and it's always bothered me. Greg
  16. Had the car in the Resto shop for some warranty work over the winter. Had them fix that annoying rocker paint that we missed the first go around last year. Before and after:
  17. When I picked up my '74 in 2011, the FIRST thing I did was search the internet for a 2002 forum. Having just completed a concours restoration on an early mustang, I knew how important a good body of information was. I think I initially bookmarked 6 - 7 sites and one by one they all got deleted except the FAQ. As we say here in Ohio, the cream rises to the top! Thanks to everyone for their participation, it's helped me tremendously. Greg
  18. I'm guessing that the people that poo poo Sahara already own an '02 and belong to the club. But if you're on the outside looking in, and one of these babies pops up, it's a beautiful color!
  19. Think of it as a hobby, don't keep track of the total dollars spent, it will ruin the whole experience. It also comes in handy when your wife asks "How much have you spent on that thing?", you can honestly answer, I don't know. Simply spend as much as you can afford without sacrificing food and shelter. Greg
  20. Fantastic service Harry! Ordered on Friday, arrived on Monday! Thanks again, Greg
  21. Harry, Your timing is perfect, just left the resto shop where they're fixing some issues on my doors over the winter and they said I need new door brakes. Can you give me a total, shipping to Ohio 44618 and I'll paypal you the funds. Thanks, Greg Kutz Dalton, Ohio
