  1. Needing some advise on where to locate a 1972 TII wiring harness. It's a long story but I'm putting a rebuilt 1972 TII motor into my standard 2002. I need a way to wire in the cold start sensor for the fuel pump and such. I'm at a loss about where to buy a TII wiring harness as it isn't something readily sold used. Does anyone sell them at a reasonable price? Any help is much appreciated.
  2. I haven't taken it anywhere yet for readings and I made sure to correct my misspelling. Thanks for the advise.
  3. I'm still working my way through the game with my 2002 as a newbie. I lowered my 2002 and saw instantly that I needed some camber adjustment so I ordered all the rear components to refresh my rear sub-frame through ireland engineering. I bought everything except for the rear toe adjustment brackets thinking I didn't need them. I got my order and it said they recommend doing both for lowered cars (of course). Before I order the toe adjustment also I wanted to see what other people thought and if it is truly necessary. I want to do it right the first time but just like everyone else I don't want to spend another $100.00 if I don't have to. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks, Brandon
  4. Hi all, I'm looking for some advice on what and where to purchase sway bars for my 1973 2002. I am lowering it and putting Bilstein sport shocks on it shortly and want to do the sway bars and bushings at the same time. I've found some made by Ireland Engineering and also some by Addco but I'd like to hear from people about what work for them and where they got them. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Brandon
  5. I appreciate the interest but I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be able to get close to what I'm asking based on the responses I've been getting from people. It's just a matter of lining something up. If you're able to come closer to the asking price please let me know. Thanks, Brandon
  6. 1972 BMW 2002 TII Complete Engine - $2850 (Salem) This is a completely rebuilt TII engine out of a '72 BMW TII that I have the title for. Bottom line is I bought this as a project car and didn't inspect it well enough to see the body was unsalvageable. Before trying the body restoration I had the engine rebuilt. The engine is out of the car being stored in a covered garage. It runs perfectly and has no miles on it. All interior rotating parts are new, rods, pistons, bearings, etc, and the crankshaft was machined. The head has been rebuild and surfaced as well and all the valves refinished, and guides and seals are new. All the machine work was completed by a local machine shop here in Salem. I can show the compression (a perfect 190 in every cylinder) and have a camera that will inspect the pistons so that you can see they are new. I can run the motor for you and am willing to remove the oil pan to show all new rotating parts and the machined crank. The engine has all of the original mechanical fuel injection components. I have not done any work to the fuel injection as it still works very well. I will say that showing you in and around the engine is quite a job so I'd ask you only look if you are seriously interested in the purchase. The engine comes with an attached 5 speed manual transmission that has a new clutch. All hoses and pictured radiator come with the engine. Please email me with any questions. 7. Thank you for the interest. This is a completely rebuilt TII engine out of a '72 BMW TII that I have the title for. Bottom line is I bought this as a project car and didn't inspect it well enough to see the body was unsalvageable. Before trying the body restoration I had the engine rebuild and re-upholstered the complete interior. The engine is out of the car and garaged on a pallet. It runs perfectly and has no miles on it. All interior rotating parts are new except for the crankshaft, which was machined. The head has been rebuild as well and all the valves refinished, and guides and seals replaced. All the machine work was completed by a local machine shop (Davis Auto Shop Oregon.) The engine was then assembled by a mechanic friend of mine that works out of a small shop here in Salem, where the engine is currently at. He all paperwork showing the compression tests I have a camera that will inspect the pistons so that you can see they are new. As far as the 5 sp tranny, I haven't driving with it but I did put in a new clutch. I've had quite a few responses requesting pictures that I hope to take today and send out. Email me if you have any more questions or want to come see it. Thanks again, Brandon
  8. The interior is mostly black. Black carpet, front and rear door panels, and seats. The seats have some grey on them and the headliner is an off-white cream color. The headliner is for a tii with a sunroof. Let me know if you're interested and i'll send some pictures.
  9. I have a complete running completely rebuilt TII engine with 000.00 miles on it. The head has been rebuilt and machined. All new internal rotating parts except for the original crank that was also machined. This is a TII engine with working mechanical fuel injection. I expect the buyer to come and check internal parts with a provided camera, compression, the lower rotating assembly and of course see it run. This engine comes bolted with a perfectly working rare 5 speed manual transmission. This was a project engine that was not installed into my BMW for a few personal reasons and nothing to do with the car. $2450 obo I started this project that I can't finish due to personal stuff but nothing to do with the car or engine I also have for sale, which will follow in a later post, a complete interior that has been completely restored from the same vehicle. (also never installed.) new carpet, headliner, door panels, and seats (complete with new padding and springs. You wont find this package anywhere else. thinking around 1500 obo Email if you're interested and I'll provide all the pics you're interested in. Brandongould80@hotmail.com - Brandon
