  1. Hey Vince, remember this day 3 years ago? We were rushing to get your car back home because we thought the roads might be shut down due to Covid. Masked up and 6 feet apart!
  2. That photo with the car in the air is fabulous. It should be a Roundel cover.
  3. Are you keeping a log of how much time you are putting into this project? Of course we all know it is better not to keep a record of money spent!
  4. It looks to be made with similar techniques as one I have. Mine was a gift from my wife about 10-15 years ago. I believe the artist was in New Orleans. She is gone now, but this was the best gift she gave me in our 27 years. At least the best material gift.
  5. Looking fabulous. But how will you redecorate the family room after taking all those gorgeous parts out to the garage?
  6. Field of dreams. looks like the Zeibart on the second car did not work.
  7. In any trade, there are many competent technicians. But the true craftsmen are hard to find. These are the people who don't just know how to use the tools but have a unique talent and passion for getting it right. A few months ago I watched a carpenter replace a double entry door the old-fashioned way. Not a pre-hung door, but jambs cut and fitted on site, then then hinges matched from door to jamb. He spent most of a day on it and it was perfect when he finished. Reminded me of watching my father do it 50 years ago, when there were no pre-hung doors. As for the best auto body and paint people, the ones I have known are off the beaten path. You could drive by and not know, because they have no sign by the road or on their shop, and they do not advertise. But if you can find the right one, you will be happy with the results.
  8. I did one myself. I think if I had no sunroof it would have turned out well. But with the sunroof it was a mess.

No. Cleared out my inventory last year
  10. Sunday morning smoky sunrise drive.
  11. Moved my two 02’s across the country from NJ to CA. One on my own trailer, four days on the road.
  12. Brings back memories of going at the interior soundproofing with a heat gun on a hot summer day 30+ years ago on my first race car. keep at it Vince. Winter is still a month away so you have plenty of time!
  13. I did not take a lot of parts with me when I moved. But I think I do have a box full of spring pads.
  14. Hey Vince. Still some good driving weather to come in NJ before the snow flies. You must have been itching for a project to take the car down already. Wish I could spend a few Saturdays helping out. But a bit too far to travel now. Good luck.
  15. Have not had time to race since we moved to CA. Missing my buddies racing at Watkins Glen this weekend. So at least I finally washed off the grime from the cross country tow in July

  17. Yes. Proximity of race tracks was an essential criteria in picking our new hometown. I plan to race my tii at Willow Springs. Probably not until next year
  18. After 3 weeks in our new home I found some time to take a drive this morning. A nice change in scenery from my NJ drives.
  19. Getting ready to ship 4 cars from NJ to CA. Will be using Intercity, enclosed transport, $2195 each. Reliable quoted just slightly higher
  20. I understand this is a one time trip so this observation is not necessarily critical but towing with a marginal capacity will put quite a strain on the vehicle. My first truck was a C10 Chevy van. The trans was shot in 4 years. the brake rotors would warp every time I went down the hill from Watkins Glen Then I used a Ford E 250 for 25 years of towing and the only mechanical failure was a fuel pump
  21. Awesome! Where was this? i spotted zero 2002’s during 45 hours of driving.
  22. Safely stored in the garage awaiting opportunities to race in CA
