  1. Hello.. I'm looking for a fuel level sender for a 1971 02. Thanks. Location: Anchorage, AK
  2. Looking for a good single barrel solex carb. Obviously a known recently operational one would be nice. Thanks.
  3. If Mr Tinker does not take the rocker trim at 25.00, I'm in. Thanks Ken
  4. Keep in mind that there is the possibility of differing pushrod lengths that correspond with different pumps...and interference from the water neck fitting... Went through this recently..needed to switch both the pushrod and water neck..made the simple matter of fuel pump replacement take far longer than it should have.
  5. Ok..I'm in a position to buy the below car and am curious whether there is much interest in the bits and pieces. The biggest issue will be shipping..as I live in anchorage, ak. The car is very rusty, the engine would not turn over by hand, and as can be seen in the photos, has been sitting for some time without windows. It does have five cosmic rims and what appears to be a complete Tii engine, etc..boxed rear arms.. Anyhooo..any interest..? http://fairbanks.craigslist.org/cto/3195793917.html
  6. not mine/NA.. from craigslist Anchorage ad: http://anchorage.craigslist.org/cto/3098586490.html I have a 1968 BMW 2000CS 4-speed coupe that is original and extremely rare. Most car enthusiasts have never seen one. I shipped the car up from Phoenix last October where it had sat untouched for the last 23 years. It was a California car prior to that and I have a clean CA title in my name. This car has not been registered since 1988. It is in need of a restoration. The body is 95% straight and all the glass is original with no cracks. The M10 engine is original and is complete with two vintage Italian Weber side draft 45's. This car should not be started until the brakes are re-done and U-joints, CV's, etc. I have a new set of tires from the only manufacturer in the world that still makes the exact factory size. I paid $800. for the set of five to include the spare. They are mounted on the original rims. I had the gas tank re-conditioned and the original radiator re-cored. I have a new complete set of hoses / belt / fuel lines ready to install. Of course, I have receipts for all of this and numerous resources for parts. There are two areas of rust on this car that will need attention, on the passenger side. The firewall, shock towers, rear sub-frame, etc are all completely solid. This is a true collector's car. It is not a daily driver, not a winter car and not a rally car. I have it stored in my garage on jack stands. This is a very rare opportunity for the right buyer. There is way too much information to put in this ad but I will share an extensive knowledge of the car with the right buyer. $5500. or best offer. I may consider trades that include fire arms. Call Rob 223-6699 I will not respond to emails.

  8. 1971 SAAB 96 V4..bought it in Fairbanks, AK in 1994 and drove it back home to Pennsylvania..currently in my parents barn..waiting for me to bring it back to AK. and 1954 International Harvester R-110...have only had this one for about 1.5 years and have yet to spend much time with it..
  9. Feel free to bring bits and pieces through Anchorage before you toss them in the scrap pile...
  10. Hi thanks.. Please do send a picture..into post or e-mail is fine.
  11. Looking for a stock water neck that has the one piece..not removable manifold fitting. Can't fit new fuel pump with the water neck that the car has currently. Thanks. mrpink96 at hotmail will need shipped to Alaska..99515..USPS is always cheapest. Ken

  13. no heat shield..no hole. not taken apart yet, so a photo of the bushing and arm will only give an external view..will this show anything of use? next question..are all the blue plastic sleeved bushings the same? ie..is there a difference between bushings needed for say a '72 and '76..I'm assuming not.
  14. What in particular would a person look at to determine if it had been changed...and pictures of what to help indentify..the idler arm?
  15. I'm looking to replace the idler bushings and in searching have found there to be a difference between bushings needed starting around 1970 or 1971. The BMW archive people say this about my car..."The BMW 2002 US VIN 1679026 was manufactured on December 22nd, 1970 and delivered on January 12th, 1971 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Sahara, paint code 006." The date on the car's door tag reads 01/1971. With that info in mind, and not knowing just when the switch in bushings went from metal sleeve to plastic, can anyone tell me either when the switch happened and/or what bushings I need? Thanks. Ken
  16. Interesting.. But not terribly surprising either.
  17. Just spoke with seller again. The car has been sitting outside all winter and he is hoping to pull it into the garage tomorrow to thaw out. Once it has done so, he'll be ready to show it..or it will be ready to be seen. He sounds not terribly excited to deal with a long distance sale, but also said he's fine with it if not too much hassle..or something along those lines. Ken
  18. I spoke to the seller but have not seen the car. I'll try to get a look at it tonight if possible. I am also no expert on what to look for. I can certainly get a vin, but if there's anything specific you want to know is there let me know. The seller told me he's had it for about a year or so and has other projects that are more pressing. He also seemed relatively anti trying to sell it non locally as the cl ad states. Ken
  19. not mine..no affiliation I am local to this car. I'd be happy to help out...within reason. http://anchorage.craigslist.org/cto/2216368840.html
