    For Sale

E30 steelies 14” with General Altimax tires. Hardly used. Painted silver. Tires are date code 2016. Kept in garage. I’d use them. Went back to 13’s. Don’t want to ship so pick up only. Center caps available
  2. The Porsche crowd backdates all the time. What’s the big deal? Yeah that’s what everybody here is saying. No big deal. Kind of cool really
  3. Steve at Bluntech has the best driveshafts. More of an e30 design I think. I won't use any others now. Gives a little wiggle room
  4. I second all the above. I have done work on my car ( rebuilt subframes, swapped engines and trannys, auto to manual etc) that wouldn't have been possible without the fine folks here. They provide such a positive and knowledgeable attitude that's a huge help. Any criticism is usually tongue in cheek. The 2002 specific parts that members make is very helpful as well. I hope to reach a point where I can give back. I'm afraid to ask questions on the e28 and e30 forums 🙂
  5. Cool seats but yeah rusty project. Just paint these days is big bucks
  6. All I know is that my cable looks like a combination of both with the squared off metal piece on one end and the long finger nut on the speedo end. FCP is great. ECS and its associated businesses sucks and I would stay away from them
  7. It's not terrible to be reminded from time to time unfortunately by a bad experience for a fellow enthusiast. Yes I've been duped on here so I guess I'm a dope. Pretty sure I learned my lesson though
  8. Hi Seb. I will pm about the three stage wiper switch
  9. Happy Birthday Ludwig! Hope to see you at MidAm. Love the story Mike
  10. Thanks everyone. After reading Mike’s reply I checked the sender and yes, wrong one. I have a 150psi gauge and had installed an 80 psi sender. Think I’ll get an 80 psi gauge now. Thanks all
  11. I ordered a slip version from Steve at Bluntech. Slipped right in. No modifications at all. Three years down the road working great
  12. Thanks everyone. I’ll check my sender. Mine is the 150 psi gauge so 10 atmospheres on sender.
  13. Hello group. I’ve had a vdo 150 oil pressure gauge and sender in my car for a couple of years now and can’t figure out why the pressure reading is so high. It consistently reads 140-150 while driving normally and on startup and idle. There seems to be adequate pressure with all the driving I’ve done. No oil filter blowout or anything. The WG terminal is wired to the light and the G to the gauge. I’ve added extra ground wires to the gauge and sender. The oil pump is a year old and the piston rod is oriented correctly. The white wire from the gauge is connected to the sender. I’ve tried another sender and same thing. I’ve switched wires and the gauge reads approximately 40-50 psi. I’m out of ideas. Hopefully a simple fix like wrong sender or wiring mixup. Looking for ideas to get a correct reading. Thanks
  14. Bluntech has a really nice one. Has a little adjustment to it. Works great. No core. Ive been told it's e30 style. Brand new. Nice gathering you put together in Queens a few years ago. Good fun. Good luck out there
  15. I used the clamp on bung and did it in place. Works fine. Drill a hole. Four years now. Just get the angle right
  16. Lynx manifold and Weber Dcoe 45 carb set. Used for two years and then switched to twin carb set up. No linkage or air cleaner. Made my own. No horns. Works well with stock engine. Original jetting. I purchased it from someone in Oregon and it appeared unused when I got it. $350 plus shipping. Duncan
  17. Nice to see pictures of a late euro car. So much nicer. Looks like your grandfather enjoyed it. Listen to Esty. She knows
  18. This is my second year with a set and I recommend them. They are very comfortable as you would expect with a high sidewall and stick very well on dry pavement. My car is lowered and pretty stiff. I've only driven in the rain on highways where I experienced some hydroplaning but that's manageable. I expect they do well on wet secondary roads at reasonable speeds. Can't speak to the Vredesteins but I might be tempted by those if available and long wait for Pirelli.
  19. I may be misunderstanding this but as @bergie33 said, if you access the outside of the fan under the cowl and reverse the two wires that might reverse the fan direction without having to remove the heater box
  20. Hello. Looking for the metal ring that cancels the turn signal on a 1975 02. Pretty sure part no is Retainer 32 32 1 118 825. Also Ring 32 31 1 120 260. Thanks. Duncan
  21. Will attend this excellent gathering. Got a room at the Marriott. Might bring e36 who knows?
  22. You've built a nice car. And relocated? Hope to see you at Saratoga this year
  23. Love the CF ideas for weight savings. Just visited a body shop where they're fixing an imsa race car involved in some argy bargy. Bmw now testing hemp fiber in place of CF. Much less $$.
