  8. thanks for all the suggestions guys. I just replaced the belt, no more squealing like pig. Due to the Beemer fest this weekend, I will not be changing my thermostat on Sat. Maybe Sun... again, thank you !
  9. How hard is it to change the thermostat on our little cars, im running a stock motor. Ive done them before on Handas, toyewtas, etc.... Just wondering if there is anything special, precautions, or easier steps rather then me finding out the hard way. TYIA recent issues ive tackled on my car : replaced the carrier bearing (center bearing) replaced the pistons on the rear drums replaced the rear boots (clear ones non CV bearing) next up : replace rear drums replace thermostat replace serpentine belt possibly water pump rewire the euro signals to make the city light work in the euro H4's
  10. Whos the guilty one...spotted on the fwy near Brea. (my buddy took the pic and sent it to me, I have him on the prowl too)
  11. Thanks guys. Yeah, I figured this wasn't correct. It was also wasn't very easy to take off. everything was pretty crusty. PB saves the day again. Thanks for the diagrams and links fellas.
  12. If anyone knows where I can get these little bolts. But, I was needing the 8mm ones instead of the flat head type They are the bolts that hold the brake piston. I need 4 of them.
  13. Wow, that's the first Ive heard of U.S. flat signals, didn't know they existed.
  14. So I bought some Euro signals, after looking at the write ups on the "tap a light" and other threads regarding the wiring and such I went to my 1600 and decided to look at the wire colors and better understand the write ups. My car came with one U.S. signal, and one Euro signal, the Euro signal has the small bulb required for the parking light and the signal, but still has the single filament bulb as well. Has anyone ever seen this type before ?
  15. Yeah, this is SoCal. SGV to be exact.
  16. the black has the square headlight conversion.
  17. wonder if this is the infamous one...
  18. I always see that green one on different episodes. If you good map it, and rotate the compass to point West, it looks like a the green one, a red convertible and possibly a white one. Pic is not that clear. Google map Counts Kustoms and zoom in.
  19. I had a chance to see the guys at their booth a few months back in Sept at a car show, please be sure to mention that they are glass, and not cheap plastic knock offs. Good stuff.
