    Good day laddies. Hope everyone had an excellente Easter! My brake lights stay in the on position only when i turn on my 1600. Is there a switch on the peddle assembly or somewhere else. When i turn the key off, the brake lights turn off. the rest of the lights seem to be OK, (parking, signals, headlights, hazards OK) the minute the key is in the on position the brake lights stay on? any ideas?

    The rear drums. I broke it trying to tighten it. Where can i get a direct replacement for that? Or is it something that might be universal ? If anyone knows also about the direct upgrade maybe from like a 76' rear drum ? would it just bolt in ? like the whole set up?

    So the 1600 i just bought had brake issues or lack their of, finally had some time to check em out. Brack reservoir dry as bone, decided to blled the brakes, had my step son pumping the pedal, no pressure after a Gazillion pumps and bleed, so as i was kinda stumped (still dont know or solved the issue) and decided to move to the other side. As i was tightening the bleeder or nipple....DISASTER! I seem to have over tightened it and it broke!!! So, the end result, still no brakes and now another issue. I guess i need to upgrade. Any cheap $$$ suggestions, even another drum brake would be fine so as long as it is inexpensive and i dont have to change all kinds of stuff. any direct fit swaps??? 1968 1600 bone to the mofo stock. please help...

    What type of GTG, like @ a park or something? There is a nice park in the city of Monterey Park, CA . its called Sequoya Nichi park. I would be down for a nice GTG...

    is your car lowered? also what type of drop do you have (1" or 2")? or set up?

    Wow, that set up looks nice. Did he have to do alot of MODS to get the wheels in there? A little trimming on the flares and big hammer to bang on the inner rear fender area. You wouldn't be able to fit them without flares. There is a lot of work in installing flares properly. Cutting and welding. There is a write up on this somewhere here. Just sear for flares and it should pop up. Now I'm running 15x7 without flares ET 25 and ET30. @ Woody, when installing these turbo style flares, the fender and rear qrts are cut right? Sorry to be asking such noob questions. I happen to notice a few members pix shows un cut underneath the flares.

    I know that they are going to give you problems guaranteed. Heres an old project blog of a guy who had 15x8 ET0 wheel all around on his car so you can get an idea of what youll have to do.     Would a 15" X 8 wheel with a zero off set fit without fender flares??? or even with them? What the widest width of a wheel you have seen on a 1600 or 2002 with and with out fender flares? any pix would be appreciated, thanks.

    thanks this helps me out, so i guess i need to get the key foxed then. Since it is not the original key, it doesnt come out once i "lock" it in place.

    Hey Zak, can you let me know what type of headlight set up u have, i want to do the H4 conversion. As far as brackets go was the set up easy to do?

    Top of the morning to all, I have a BMW gas cap with a locking type mechanism (with no key). i went to the local key dude, he made me a key, but stated that the mech inside may have an issue. Anyhow, the key he made me turns, but doesnt lock the gas cap. Does anyone here have a similar locking gas cap? I dont want to take it apart, but also, i want to get it working again. If anyone out there has the same cap let me know, thanks. (someone told me its a rare BMW option from the dealer, i dont know if this is true or not)

    Hey David, I think I may need the front windshield. Do you know if it will fit my 68 1600? The cylinder head, i would be willing to sell or trade. Let me know. BTW i am not to sure of the condition of the head though, if you want to come look at it and shoot an offer or a trade, that would be great. I live in Rosemead let me know...
