  1. I tried duct tape but that didn't work. Also tried tying a random wire around it but it only held for a bit. Finally just broke down and bought a new hazard switch.
  2. I'm looking for the previous owner of my 1976 BMW 2002. Name Joseph Thomas Reid. Figured this would be a good place to look. Thanks guys.
  3. The hazard lights work, but neither side signals work. We pulled apart the signal switch to trouble shoot. It doesn't really match any of the diagrams in the Haynes manual. The car is a 76 manual shift 2002. There are 6 wires on the back of the switch. The blue/black goes to the right side blinker, the blue/red goes to the left side. The green/yellow goes back to the hazard light switch. There are 3 other wires. Yellow, white and green. The green is hot when the ignition is on. The white has power when the brights are on, and the yellow has power when the lights are switched on. So my guess is that the yellow and white are not related to the signal light problem. Does anyone have an accurate wiring diagram for a 1976 2002? Where is the power source for the signals? Where should we look next? Also, when we jump wire power from the green to each side (blue/black and blue/red), the signals light up. When we jump to the green/yellow, only the left side lights up. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. 1976 2002. Eibach springs, BMP sway bars, Billstein shocks, 14 in wheels. I live in Houston so I'm not worried about snow but need good handling in the rain. Tire Rack has some good deals. What tires would work good with this suspension?
  5. Haha I didn't know my dad would get one here. He got all ambitious and worked on my '02 while I was at work. Got the engine started with a lil (ok a lot of starter fluid). Thank you soo much! Y'all are so helpful. I've been reading my "Weber Carburetors" book all day. We're in Houston so the weather we have to deal with is very hot and humid.
  6. I just bought a 1976 BMW 2002. Engine was supposedly rebuilt but car has been in stoarge for two years. What should I do to start it the first time? Do I need to prime the oil pump? What should I watch for? What do you recommend?
