Paint in very good shape. Small rust bubbles on bottom of passenger door but otherwise, no rust. Shock towers are perfect. Some of the work performed: Complete front and rear suspension rebuild – parts from Blunt Tech – work performed by EuroTeck in Shreveport, La. Including Bilstein sport struts and H&R Sport springs. New BMWCCA Roundel layout

I live too far away from most of my "local" chapter's events so the Roundel was my main incentive for membership along with the roadside assistance plan (which was non-renewed). As long as BMW CCA membership is not required to attend Mid-America, I'll spend my $45 elsewhere.
  4. Very cool story - and, I had the honor of parking my '76 Polaris beside you in the picture!

    Eureka Springs was great!!!!!

Another great event and the weather was perfect. The Louisiana gang will be back next year. Thanks Barb and Bo for all your hard work.
  6. Did not take advantage of that program when I registered mine. I will at renewal.
  7. Received mine in the mail today. Thanks Russ.

    damn near 30mpg

I kept track of my mileage during my trip to Mid America last year and it was right at 30mpg highway. It dropped significantly during our "outing" on Saturday. But the trip up and back was tracked very closely. This was calculated off my GPS (not the car's odometer). My typical everyday highway/city mileage is 21-22 (again calculated via my GPS). Edit - stock w/ 4-speed and 32/36

So what do you do that is non 02?

Watch them gators!! Nick - I grew up skiing in South Louisiana - gators don't bother me! If you fall, you don't splash around a lot. They think you're an injured animal. Otherwise, they leave you alone.

Compete nationally in water skiing. My daughters have completed since they were 6. My oldest is ranked 75th in the world. Built a tournament lake on some property we bought in 2002. Hold 5-6 tournaments a year on the site.

    OEM Starter from 76

Works fine - just upgraded to another. $35 including shipping to 48. jdarwin (at) lakesatcottonwood.com
  19. This may belong in Parts for Sale but I'm not technically "selling" these items. I'm hoping someone can use this stuff. Is so, shoot me an e-mail and I'll calculate shipping. The intake needs some work on a water jacket that corroded but it is repairable. jdarwin (at) lakesatcottonwood dot com

    Do your cars have names?

If your a college football fan, you've heard of the (football player) honey badger! My daughter has a biology class with him at LSU.

  22. Very cool, Nick. Please post pics when you get them installed. Can't wait to see them at Mid America. I'm afraid I'll be swapping my Rota's for these.
