  9. Guessing you got it all sorted. Just gonna say Wallothnesch sells that assembly, complete. Wish I had known that before I did what you are doing, your looks spectacular! Always disappointing to see that part assembly grime covered and over sprayed . . . need any more roll pins?
  10. 7" headlights with euro city lights (small lamp that is lit with running lights) I sold a kidney and purchased a pair of Bosch Euro buckets. These lamps do not include a bulb (small city lamp bulb is included) $60 shipped. Armrests, nice driver quality with chrome Besels. $60 shipped. Wiper motor, rather "working" wiper motor $100 shipped. Tii fuel pump (working) I used it while running my restored engine on my run stand. I have a sound tii fuel tank with a dent, didn't use it and went with a 1975 02 tank and installed an "in tank" pump. Miscellaneous stuff make offer.
  11. Never fund the wrench, did find the nut in the oil pan during overhaul, it had taken the skirt off of the number 1 piston. Guessing some during a valve adjust just lost it.
  12. Over these past 4 years I've restored an old friend, 1972 2002 with a 1974 tii heart with an enormous amount of assistance from friends on this site. I only use an electrical auxiliary fan on a relay wired by the attached diagram, from this blog. On a hot day and the fan is running and I turn the car off the fan goes off, I would like it to keep running. Attached is the wiring diagram, do I just need to fit the relay with a hot wire, not ignition on wire? Also, at highway speeds with a cold engine the telltale lite comes on "dim" from feedback from the fan.
  13. I think on this forum, I was advised to put the kill switch on the negative side of the battery. Someone else brought to my attention the BMW plastic clips I used to mount the battery positive and fuel line (cunifer) to the underside of the car.
  14. Much I don't know about automotive electrical, I just grounded my negative lead, through my kill switch to the body. Routed the positive lead with the fuel line, if there's damage so significant as to damage both fuel and power, I want a fire.

  16. So listed a bunch of junk I'm trying to clear out of my container. Had an enthusiast in South Dakota who wanted just the rear seat covers (restoring with original tex) in removing those covers, they're really gone. The good and un-shipable part is the horsehair. Other un-shipable is my engine run stand. I think it's $100 in steel salvage, very heavy, the welding I did to assemble is horrible, oxyo/acet needs some powered up wire feed. The tii gas tank I passed on because it's dented but a solid no leaker. Also have a very good tii fuel pump. If I went to swap meets, might be another story. Over the 50 years of 02 ownership, I've thrown a ton of parts out that people pay stupid money for today. I'll keep trying, Jerry
  17. Did a rear seat delete, here's what I rejected out of a 1972 2002, can't imagine packing and shipping. Shock tower brace. Patch panels. Fuel tank is a sound but dented 1974 tii tank, includes fuel level sensor.
  18. Way too heavy and bulky to ship, local pick-up only. This is for the stand only. The original '74 gaige group I never got to function with the engine, I gave the tach away and trashed the speedo, just before I sent my speedo to North Hollywood. I'll work a deal on the fuel tank, cool item, also have the tii fuel pump that I replaced with an in-tank pump. The iron represents some horrible welding ox/act so could use someone with a wire feed to reinforce. The casters have migrated to another project.
  19. I have 1972 2002 that I've installed tii engine in. I'm using a late 2002 tank and have installed a "chinese" intank pump. I tried leaving the that filler neck tube connected to that canister, my tank pump collapsed the tank. Since then because mine is a sunroof car, I epoxyed that tube through flow through vent cover.
  20. Durability is a good question, must have some shelf life on fingernails. whether it would clear coat dont know. What I do know is what I've tried to use in the resto process looks shabby as hell. Yes, I cleaned and removed the previous "chrome" cleaned the plastic with fine sandpaper and lacquer thinner, looks bad.
  21. During my restoration project I tried to use metalic tape (heat duct wrap) works ok, turns kind of coby over time. In looking for a chrome like solution for my tii printed emblem I found this guy, just checking with this group to see who may tried this on the plastic strikes on a door panel.
