  1. I will be cutting up the remains of my parts car this month. Please pm (with offer) if you are need anything from "the body." PLEASE NOTE - shell was sold to a new owner for restoration. 2. SOLD / I have a 4 speed transmission from a 1976 that I am selling. According to my records the transmission was rebuilt around 2000 and it drove beautifully. We parked it in 2016 as a parts car and the transmission was just pulled out this week. I am in the Ballard/Crown Hill area of Seattle. Pick up only - $200
  3. Have some larger harder to ship 76 02 Items I am selling on the FAQ that id love to sell locally (via pickup instead of ship). 76 Seat Frames & Hardware https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/314142-for-sale-76-front-seat-frames-stock/ 76 Transmission (4 speed) $200
  4. SOLD w/ shell 76 Gas tank for sale. $75 OBO + Ship (pickup preferred). Drove this for years with no problems. At the time it did not appear to have any smells or gas leak. The tank has some mild denting on the bottom and I can see some surface rust around the outer seams but it will probably clean up. It has been stored installed in my parts car (outdoors) for many years. Local pick up preferred but shipping can be acomodated if need be.
  5. bump These items remain: One tan card $20+ship One Navy card (with cut) $10 xtra black vinyl for card (free)
  6. Brian, I have a set of 76 seat frames that have already been prepped for re-upholstery. The hardware has already been refurbished except for one recliner cable. I am asking $350 +ship for the set and it is already boxed up for shipping so I would be happy to get you a ship quote if interested. Cheers, Robert
  7. Hey Neighbors Is anyone looking to re-upholstery your seats in the near future? I have an extra set of 76 stock seat frames that I have prepped for upholstery and refurbished the hardware. Trust me if you have a daily drive it makes it a lot easier to drop off seats for upholstery and keep on driving for the next 3 months while they get done I'm looking to get $350 for the set w/either pick up or additional shipping costs from Seattle (shipping will be a bitch but they are already boxed up so I can get a quote for you). Here is some info on the seats & prep. Seats: 76 stock from a Sunroof Car - this means they sit 1" lower than standard roof seats. So if you are on the taller side these are perfect. Prep: 1. Frames were all wire brushed meticulously with a rotary drill wirebrush. IF you want to take them to next level you could media blast them but I don't think its necessary. 2. Frames were painted with black rust stop paint to prevent further rusting (with the exception of the frame bar which i shined up for fun. 3. Hardware replaced with stainless, including hinge screws. 4. Recline pully wheels are in great shape - I drilled out the rivet and replaced with a stainless screw/nylon locking nut. This makes it really easy to reinstall cabling. 5. 3 of 4 recline cables are in great shape (1. long cable should be replaced) 6. All plastic cable guides intake - most of them in great shape (there are a few with chips/cracks but still in working order) 7. The top spring plates are intact with spring (these are unicorns). 8. Vinyl trim cap is intact for both seats (also unicorns) 9. All hinges are reufurbished with all of their springs here's a little inspiration... This is my upholstery from another set of seat frames that prepped in similar fashion. Upholstery was handled by Burien Upholstery (with seat covers by World Upholstery & died with Sems die to match 1966 saddle brown).

  9. Just Id mention that I just listed my extra set of stock 76 seat frames to the classified section. I took some time to refurbish them and replace the hardware in the same manner that I did for the set I re-upholsteried last year. The ones i listed for sale are sunroof model seats so they sit 1" lower than seats from standard roof cars (which is great for taller drivers). I'll have them in dry storage in case anyone could use them. My car is a daily drive so it was really nice to have an extra set of fronts to give the upholstery guy while i continued to drive around for 3 months.
  10. Dad always taught to leave things nicer than you found them... These are refurbished 76 seat frames and all hardware prepped and ready for upholstery. These seats came out of a "sunroof" car which means they sit about 1" lower than seats from a standard roof model (fun fact huh?) - so if you are a bit on the taller side these will be perfect height. Asking $350 + ship. Short of media blasting (and one recline cable), these are fully refurbished and ready for upholstery. They have been sanded with a rotary wire brush and painted with Rust Reformer Paint (to prevent further rusting). All screws were replaced with stainless steel including the wheel rivet with screw/hex nut to make it easier to install cables. 3 of the s cables were in good shape (one needs to be replaced). All plastic cable guides are intact although a few are chipped. All recliner springs intact. If you want me to source the missing cable so its all ready to go just let me know and I'll give you separate pricing for that part. Should you want to go the extra mile and media blast it will be easy to do as all the hardware is removable, but given that you will never see these again after upholstery I would just call it good. Head rests have been painted with clear por15 to stop rust but you may want to re-chrome. Shipping will be a bitch but I have them boxed up so can get you pricing fairly easily
