  7. The ID of the small hole should be close to the OD of the mushroom "stem". If so then just put some Dawn detergent on both pieces an push and twist.
  8. Google SAE Viscosity Chart and be overwhelmed. The w after the first number in multi grade oils is the apparent viscosity when cold (winter) The second number is the viscosity when at operating temperature (approx. 100C) So straight grade oils are listed as SAE (number) ie SAE 30 Multi grade oils are listed as the apparent SAE grade when cold (10w) and then the grade when hot (30). IE 10w30) This effect is achieved by additives called VI (viscosity improvers) which curl up when cold and act like ball bearings and stretch out into long chains when hot and thicken the oil. After time these VI additives break into shorter chains and the viscosity becomes less. That is when it's time for an oil change.

  10. Sounds like you love this car, so just love it! For more HP get another car. Besides, it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. Learn how to not slow down.
  11. Have a few parts from my sold 2002 which I had upgraded. These are the removed parts. Driveshaft, pair of front struts, open diff, dizzy, Please come take them away. Really don't want to pack and ship so NNJ or NY guys can have them for free.

  15. Spare tire wheel from my now gone 2002. needs refinishing but straight and true.
  16. I have a pair of front struts with strut inserts, rotors (shot) and backing plates ( slightly bent in a few spots) for non tii 2002. However they have been modified to give about 3/4 degree of negative camber. I'm in NNJ so not so far away. Interested?
  17. Original mirrors were flat glass. It had to be adjusted to see only one spot on the passenger side. I bought a convex glass replacement mirror only for a Volvo and ground it to fit over the flat glass and used silicone sealant to hold it in place. Huge improvement.
  18. I agree with Tom. I have the 38/38 on my car but it also has a cam, HC pistons,headers. As the ad says, it is a high performance kit. Just pouring in more fuel will not make it high performance. Joe
  19. Set of BMW steel wheels; one of these is not like the others. All are straight and true and one has small rash on outer lip. Need to be refinished.
  20. I have 2 sets of Repco Deluxe brake pads (remember those?) Brand new in box marked D152D for a tii Got them when the local dealer stopped offering aftermarket parts. Hey, they're period correct! $25.00 per set

  22. Removed from 1975 2002 at 90k. Well maintained till then. No noise or leaks.
  23. Swapped my 4 speed for a 5 speed. Trans is gone but I have the driveshaft and shifter bracket. Free to a good home. email me at joem52002@hotmail.com
