  1. probably 200+ spot welds to drill out then you are home free.
  2. Thanks Bill.. So he puts Lord Fusor where the driprail meets the roof frame and then tries to spotweld after using that? I was going to put some adhesive on top of the roof frame where the old foam weatherstripping was and then use spot welds along the bottom. -Brendan
  3. Hi, I am about to put the new skin on using the SCR/McGinn method. I know that Bill Williams did this as well. What weatherstipping / adhesive should be used to go along the top part of the roof structure. The old material didn't seem that healthy when I took the old roof skin off. See the picture below.
  4. Saw this posting earlier in the week, but just realized that it was in my town. It would have been nice to go check it out. Good score, looks like a nice car. -Brendan
  5. I detect a front right fender replacement. Might be the picture, but it looks like there is a small seem showing above the grille.
  6. Last winter the mice ate 1.5 bars of irish springs (green, looks blue in pic) that were in my engine bay and then crapped all over the place. The wanted some dessert so they had the insulator for the alternator, starter & battery wires. That caused some issues. Here is a pic:
  7. I will take springs if not already spoken for.. Shipping is to 01845. Let me know. Thanks..

  9. I am pretty sure these are at Louie's BMW on Rt. 1. Pretty rough shape. The solid red one was probably in the best shape. I looked for parts on the white one last year and recall that it seems to have a crack free dash (although it had seen plenty of weather from a busted drivers window). If you look closely at the map you can see the blue w/ red top, white one and solid red one parked next to the boat. He owns a nice custom Tii that is worth checking out. http://maps.google.com/maps?rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=louie's+bmw+peabody,+ma&fb=1&gl=us&hq=louie's+bmw&hnear=0x89e3125bb7f609f1:0xe0c86ab48e23439f,Peabody,+MA&cid=0,0,10539943572120383148&ei=5gHxTan2J-be0QGLvdDYBA&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CBsQnwIwAA sorry for the busted link, not sure how to fix it.
  10. Interested in Starter & Blue Coil -- $45 shipped? -Brendan
  11. I think I know which part you are talking about. I recently aquired a late nose that had the bumper shock sleeves still attached. I found that there were a couple welds between the flat metal part and the bumper insert sleeve as well as 2 bolts that needed to be removed. I used an air chisel to break the welds and then unscrewed the bolts. The flat metal part stayed on the nose. See pic, hope that helped.
  12. Did you leave the trim clip holes underneath?
  13. that must be the "surface rust" they are referring to.
  14. Save the car.. At least part is out for us.
  15. Sunroof? Drains could be clogged. Directly above where you are speaking of is where the sunroof channel meets the drain tube.
  16. Maybe it is a Tii and he thinks "T" stands for Turbo... Still a gd price if its a Tii in good shape. Hopefully someone can post pics.
  17. I have these wheels. My wheels were off of a VW Corrado 15x6.5. I have 195/50 Yoko S-drives. The fronts rubbed so I put on a 5mm spacer only on the front and they are fine.
  18. +1... like the look too instead of mesh
