  1. I am selling my 2 volume set of reproduction service manuals. they cover the 1602, 1802, and 2002 models, have loads of illustrations, and are in great shape. I bought these last year for 100.00+ shipping off of ebay, and have recently sold my 2002. I am looking to get 80.00 shipped in USA, or best offer. paypal to "waugamans@aol.com', thanks. Cliff W. in western Pa.

  6. I am selling my 75, due to an expansive work schedule that will not allow me the time to restore in the next few years. I bought out of an estate in suburban Atlanta, the car sat for a few years till I got it. In 2010 the car had new brakes, tune up, and new tries, last year a new master, and slave cylinders, and replaced the speedometer. Total mileage is about 172K, and this engine was installed at 115K, have some of the previous owners slips. I have put in a set of E21 Recaro seats, sport steering wheel, and have new carpet kit[ by Esty], not installed, along with a rubber gasket set for the windows, and lots of spare stuff. the car has air which did work, I just don't use it. Would welcome any help in posting pics, let me know, and the price is 3700.00 for it all. I am Cliff Waugaman,, and 724-757-9640 if you want to talk, thanks. SOLD
  7. Just wanted Esty, and all, to know that I got the carpet kit today, and it turned out better than I expected. Thanks for the patience , I had an unusual request, and we were back and forth on this for many months.
  8. Which steering wheel is the horn Button from?
  9. I can use the visor clips, email sent. Cliff W.
  10. After having the VW Bugs since college,72, I ended up restoring a few as a hobby, then did a 71 camper. Won lots of awards over the years at VW, and classic car shows. In 2008, at Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, my wife and I were quite taken with the 02's. I, remember them from my younger days, and also remember that no one we new could afford a BMW. So we started looking and last summer bought one out of an estate from Alabama. After sitting for a few years we finally have it running good, with much thanks to Paul Wegweiser, and enjoying it every summer day. It will eventually be restored to better than new, but it is a little speedracer, and goes a lot faster than the Bugs. Enjoy, and dont hesitate to ask for advice. This Forum has been invaluable to us.
  11. I am looking to put a new stereo/cd unit in the 02, was talking to a guy at work that used to do that for Best Buy, he said that they did a BMW install one time, and they grounded it wrong causing the cars ecu/computer to fail. Are there any special grounding requirements, or any other special considerations in doing in doing this? Looking for the wisdom from the collective.
  12. I recently replaced my insrtument panel with a better one from Fleabay, thanks Paul everything works great, any way, in the interest of keeping my garage from getting more glogged, I am willing to give the old one to anyone that could use some of the parts out of it. The temp. gauge, fuel level gauge worked fine, the speedometer doesnt and the needle is broken, the tach work when it was taken out. Give me a "shout out" if you could use ths. Best to reach me at "waugamans@aol.com"
  13. I am interested in all the seat belt parts, how much do you want for them? Let me know, email me at "waugamans@aol.com",thanks.
  14. Thanks for the info guys, Paul, I already ordered a relay from Rockauto, they were working fine both inside and out the other day, but just quit on both ends, so I will check this out and let you know, its an old car and having to replace stuff doesnt really bother me. And by the way Paul, the more I have been driving it, the better its been running, starts right up every morning, and I've been driving it like I would a rental car.
  15. Driving the other day all the turn signals were working as normal, today nothing. Just curious as to what could cause this, other than a failure of the relay, which is expensive I believe. Would a burned out bulb cause the whole thing not to work? And if I need a relay, whats the best, cheapest, place to get it? Thanks.
  16. Please send me your email address so i can pay for the 2 pieces I would like, its easier if you send it to my regular email:"waugamans@aol.com"
  17. I will take the 2 pieces of padding/trim that goes around the steering column. bmwcliff, lookfor the paypal
  18. Curious as to what color and material the first set is? May need to have a set of carpet made like that this summer.
  19. As a followup, I emailed Paul,, and he sent back an email that he would be happy to help me out. We are going to talk later this evening. Thanks for theinfo.
  20. I grew up and still live in Greensburg, very familiar with the salt issue over the years. This is my first BMW vintage car, have had maybe 6 BMW motorcycles over my lifetime. My wife and I have had many VW's over the years, restored a few, shown and enjoyed, won lots of awards. Know lots about VW's, but not so much about this BMW.
  21. I bought my 75-2002 last year from Alabama, looking for a local guy willing to go over it top to bottom, and give me a list of what it will need mechanically to become a daily driver. Is drivable right now, but has sat many years prior to my purchase. Know about German Motor Works, kind of iffie trying to get in, but I understand there may be a guy in south hills, off 51 somewhere by rt.88? Tell me what/who you know, thanks. Cliff W. in Greensburg
  22. I live in the next county east of Pittsburgh, and have never seen a mintgrun in this whole area. It would be real hard not to notice, but this time of year most of us 02 owners are not taking our cars out in the snow and salt. Cliff W. in western Pa.
  23. Too ugly for any self respecting pimp.
  24. I'll take the under column pad, 25.00 on the way, look for it. Cliff Waugaman in western Pa.
  25. Got my spares from Blunt, had my local hardware shop cut them, not the big box store, a real hardware store thats been in town for over 50 years, the new keys work fine.
