I'd like to move the wheel further away from me and have heard of this being done. Cut, grind and re-weld the momo hub down to a smaller height. It looks like 2" could easily be taken out of it.

3nSahalee replied to 3nSahalee's topic in BMW 2002 and other '02
yes, i have a '68 Datsun 1600 roadster. pretty nice condition, it's got a fresh silver paint job. i'm working on interior now. it's a friggin slot car, but it's waaaay too small for me! i'm 6'4" 230 lbs., and these were designed for 5'4" 130 lb persons. -
Strong non smoker engine. Collector plates, never pay tabs again. Complete running and driving 1970 roundie for $1250!?!! newer weber 32/36, stiff bilsteins all around. decent tires. engine is clean and was told by PO it was recently rebuilt. it has the 121ti head. car is in downtown Auburn, right off of hwy 167. Anybody need a parts car or a great project????? I'm losing storage spot soon and want this opportunity to go to an aficionado. Easily recoup the price and make money if you part it out. link to ad in 2002faq cars for sale: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,376954/ Steve Fore! 25. 9 Fore! 1. Black Finish on Square Taillight Windshield Wipers
3nSahalee replied to Conserv's topic in BMW 2002 and other '02
Steveo here..... FWIW--- I had some chrome wiper arms from my '68 '02 and wanted to put them on my '74 to replace the chipped black arms and they would not mount the stubs. upon further inspection i discovered that the spline count was different between the black arm from the '74 and the silver arms of the '68. Possibly it was just the very early '02s that had a coarse spline. I ended up sanding down and repainting the '74 black arms. Be sure to use a good primer first. I used the SEM trim paint that Mike suggested. Several light coats over a 1 week period and wetsanded with 1500 grit between coats. I was very happy with the results. -

step by step 5 speed conversion?
3nSahalee replied to adamgraves's topic in BMW Neue Klasse Discussion
I actually have jp engineerings complete guide to the conversion. It's very comprehensive with pics, digrams, parts lists and charts. I'll scan next week and send you an e-version. Post or send me your email. Steve -
Hello- I'm after a decent and complete pair of window crank handles and a pair of shiney chrome door opening handles. i think i need the door levers from an early roundie, it seems that the style changed at some point to the lever with a black plastic insert.... i'm after the solid chrome ones. pic is attached of the parts i'm after. These are for a 1968 nk 2000 4 door. Early roundie 02's had this type door lever and maybe e9 coupes like a 2000cs and definitely a mid 60's NK model would have this type door lever. stevecarlisle1 AT gmail DOT com Thanks in advance!
