  1. Thanks very much for all the replies. This board really is helpful with this sort of stuff! Regards, Chris
  2. Hi, I'm looking for a set of 12 10x80mm bolts & nuts that connect the rear differential with each side shaft. Does anyone have these/know where to get em? Most are 10x70, but the hole in the side plates of the differential are not threaded, so I need bolts that are longer to go through them and get attached by nuts behind. This is for a 73 Bav... Any help would be fantastic!
  3. Hi, Thanks for both replies - I havn't come across anything locally...yet, and I e-mailed Veteran Co. so we'll see where that goes! Regards, C
  4. Hi, I have a 73 Bav with that fairly common golden-brown (forgot the actual name) vinyl interior. Is any new seat material available? In particular the smooth un-textured outer area - I alreadyhave old replacement basketweave seat material for the inner area. Any tips/vendors would be much appreciated. Thanks, Chris
  5. Cool. How much? I've also sent you an e-mail through your website. Take Care, Chris
  6. Hi, I'm looking for a Brake Pressure Regulator for my e3. It's the same bit for most or all e3s & e9 coupes - 34344750020. Its located towards the rear of the car, with one main brake line in, and two lines out - one to each rear caliper. Used/Re-built/New Stock! I'm in Canada, but have a mailing address in the USA. Thanks, Chris ctrevelyan@telus.net
  7. As for driving it, I wish I'd have had enough opportunity to drive it nuts hard, but between sorting and winter storage, I don't think I've drivin it more than 2000kms in a couple of years, and 1500 of that was on one weekend! Just for fun, here's another pic of the car in question:
  8. Thanks to all the replies - lots of good info! G-Man - thanks very much for the check-up. I thought I'd attach a picture - if possible to show it to some other e3 guys, I'd really appreciate it. I've seen two Bavs recently with huge cracks in the same place.
  9. Hi, I own a 73 Bavaria. Recently I noticed a small hairline crack (3 inches or so) on the centre floor of my trunk. My understanding is that this is a stress fracture caused an old rubber differential mount, and is a common design flaw in these cars. I'm not all that familiar with e9s, but I've seen neglected Bavarias/e3 where the entire trunk is split by a crack of over a foot long. My understanding is that the repair is (1) the removal of the rear diff., (2)weld up the hiarline crack, and (3) weld in a reinforcement plate in the effected area for many years of future happy motoring. Has anyone had experience with this/has comments to offer/can point me in the direction of information about this? If all goes well, she'll be going under the knife this month... Thanks! Chris
  10. Hi, I hope its ok to post a quick e3 question on here...! My pads all around are 20+ years old (and in suprisingly good condition) so from other e3/e9 former or current owners, but nothing last forever...any recommended performance upgrades for pads (specific brands)? rotors? Easy upgrades from newer models (e12 etc...) Any help at all would be great! Take Care, Chris
  11. Hi G-Man, Thanks very much for the offer - I just love steelies, but your's are not the ones I'm after! I'm after the earlier generation style. Should I need e12 era steelies in the future, I'll be sure to look you up and hope you still have em'! Thanks, Chris
  12. Hi, I'm looking to buy 14" steelies for my Bavaria, like in the link below, but 5-bolt pattern of course... www.obscureclassics.com/BMW.htm I'm located in BC, but have a WA State mailing address. Thanks! Chris
  13. Does anyone have a good, early driver's side mirror for a 73 Bavaria? It's the earlier, smaller trapezoid shape example. I'm looking for good condition or better. Thanks so much! Chris
  14. Thanks very much for the replies... Much appreciated.
