  1. For anyone seriously interested, and actually comes to look at the car, 7k(is what i'll take). I paid 6500(i think) for it and have put a large amount into replacing the seals/trim and headliner...i believe my total is about 2300 into all that(installed)
  2. No, i did not get this car as payment for anything, besides my own cash and desire to have the car and regards to price...its craigslist for all sake of selling cars, people low ball so you need to start somewhere
  3. SRC Auto in hayward has done a lot of work on my cars. Rudy used to own a 2002, so i trust them.
  4. I got the OEM seals from blunt tech, and it seems that my front quarter vent/windows are very difficult to close, as if the seals are too hard, or big...is this common? They won't fully close by them selfs, I have to push the windows closed now, and still can hear air coming in while driving. Btw, new headliner off of eBay looks GREAT but Armand's in walnut creek said the way they did the extra visor material..they couldn't install for me.
  5. Thank you, I assume thats what a a vinyl cover would be as well. They are $88 from pelican parts. Now need to research difficulty of installation
  6. Was on pelican parts and they have option for carpet or vinyl dash cover. Can't find examples of the vinyl. Google images didn't help either
  7. Speedy auto glass says they can't get one. They are currently removing mine at Armand's in walnut creek to have headliner replaced. They are worried it will crack when they try to install it back in. Any suggestions on where I can get one if needed? Thanks in advance! This is for a 1969 1602. If I told them it was for a 2002, would that change it? Assuming they are the same...
  8. Can you confirm your area code? That's a Bay Area california area code. I am interested in roof rack/Yakima
  9. I made the most current appointment they had open, which was Nov 4th. And they will need the car for 3 days.. Mainly for glass to reseal. You know, in the past I've experienced the same with the original Armand, this time I dealt with his grandson, Armand the 3rd. He was very cheerful. Originally it was I wanted the entire interior done on my 70, seats redone and repadded and headliner, seals, and he was not really trying to get that business from me.
  10. Hey Garry that sounds great. Where in Concord? I grew up on Claycord. $550 for install, 200 for headliner on eBay, $120 to have windows removed and reinstalled, and $250 for the windshield seals from blunttech, plus $750 for side weather stripping and seals, all from blunttech and oem. Those guys are great. There are cheaper routes but I chose to go oem. Aftermarket is roughly half that cost. Garry, car is pretty much all good, just need to have clutch looked at because it's sticky and makes a pop noise when released, my 70 2002 did the same thing. Spike do you remember who you got your windshield from? The speedy glass company here says they cannot get it. Mine is in good condition, but was just curious of cost, which they couldn't provide me
  11. I'm in Martinez, I live right behind the court house. I just about this 69 1600-2 from a guy in Oakland. It's chamonix. My past one was Colorado orange. I've never seen an inka locally! Very cool
  12. Went with a $550 quote from Armands in Walnut Creek, which is a high end car Upholstery spot
  13. Thank you for the details, I have just ordered all new seals as well. The package I bought comes with material for the visors, and mentions it's identical to factory
  14. Bought a pre sewn headliner off eBay, how much has others paid to have these installed? I've taken to two places and they said $400-700. Do you have to remove from and rear windshields to install this? Thanks in advance for your replies.
  15. okay, sorry, i will purchase the "DIESEL MISFUELING PROTECTION BYPASS ADAPTER"
  16. how do we buy these, nowadays? or, is there another option?
  17. It appears the past owner is an active member on here, conkitchen. What happened to the bmw spot in walnut creek near kinders and Mercedes dealership? Where else locally should I go?
  18. Thanks everyone. And will definitely check fuses, absolutely
  19. Thank you very much guys. Is it a basic DIY? Car is nice but has a lot of little issues that he didn't mention or wasn't aware of. Seller never really drove it I think he bought it from a buy named eddy from San lorenzo and just resold it. Cause car was still in eddys name. Wipers don't work, brights work sometimes, clutch is very sticky, and clicks pretty loud each shift. Things I'm happy to fix but he said it needed no work, also paint job and tons of orange peel...I'll fix that all, looking to do it right away as well
  20. Yes it's charmonix did you see it on CL? Or know it from previous owner? My windshield isnt leaking, it's the door window and rear window. Seems like I can buy the kit from pelican parts, is that my best option? Sorry been out of the scene for 3 years, and past car never needed any real work done to it
