  3. Rob, you have a 6th sense for the early Tii's. Luckily it got me that Sahara back in 2009.... If anybody is qualified to fly and drive that Agave its you, congrats on the new project. engine pics and compression ratio please.... Howard
  4. Rob, +1 on what RussTii states above. I had a mysterious "fuel starvation" issue with my Tii (Yes, '72 the Sahara I stole from you) at RPM's between 2000 and 4500 which I could not diagnose. After going through the litany of prime suspects: filters, screens, pump swap, pressure reg valve, injectors etc, kfish sync, - no success. I then found a twist/collapse/slight melt spot in the plastic fuel line between the braided line from the tank and the braided line to the pump. It was hidden under the little vinyl cloth cover glued at the base of the wheel well in the trunk. once replaced the "problem" vanished. I it was enough of a choke point to behave just like a clogged filter. I did not, however, have a stumble per se, just starvation upon demand.... I have always been led to believe that the plastic line was designed to collapse and self seal in the event of on board fire, from what I discovered it appears to be true. hope you're well, best, Howard
  5. Once I get the tii suspension refresh complete I'll put my '73 TR6 on the lift. I will be elbow deep in renovation for the next year.
  6. Heat shield over exhaust manifold would be first thing to check. Mine wiggles loose every so often. passenger side will rattle like hell if a bolt or two is loose.
  7. 'tis I, sir. I'm not worthy of print.....but the little Sahara sure is. she's dying for spring to come (and so am I) cheers!
  8. Got the announcement from Bently via email today, very exciting! Can't wait to read it. Congratulations Rob, now get back to playing guitar... Howard
  9. I just ordered one from Blunt yesterday, his price was outstanding, however I think you have missed the bell on his OE special price sale. Email him, his knowledge and service is second to none.
  10. May want to bolt that chassis to the shop floor prior to startup, it's likely to barrel roll right through the garage wall
  11. Rob, are you sure you are not having deja vu? if its Sahara with a faded Flyers sticker....I bought that off you in 2009! Howard
  12. I check the weather sites constantly so I can plan my dry '02 driving miles for the next 5-7 days. I've got garage parking at both shop and home as well. We really have to squeeze out every hour of the eastcoast driving season!
  13. A buddy of mine is closing his motorcycle repair shop and has several cases of Castrol 20w50 4t motorcycle oil he has offered to me for free. I know there are zinc, moly and friction additive differences in oils for bikes vs cars, but would this be OK for a 2002? Heck, the price sure is right, but not at the sake of motor damage. I have not seen the labels yet, but he said its not synthetic.
  14. put me next in line please
  15. I'm glad yer back on the road. The FAQ is amazing. The body of knowledge here not only saves us money but cuts out hours of frustrating diagnostic downtime. More time to drive! (and make $ donations to the faq)
  16. If the 12mm fuel line from the tank to the pump has air in it the tii will not want to start. The pump gets air locked and cannot pull fuel. Try pulling the hose at connection in the trunk, priming it with gas and re-attaching it then starting.
  17. did these sell? I'm looking for a set and would like to see pics.
  18. Anybody have one? I'd prefer e21 320is 25% If your not within reasonable driving distance of Philadelphia must be willing to ship. thanks.
