  1. I have a Zender one. it has a small hole, because it was with 3rd breaklight, but it's repairable. $70 without shipping. E-mail me if you're interested.
  2. If i just drill the lock? Is it going to work? Because the brakelights (ring + lenses) are new and paintwork is fresh, i don't want to damage them... I have a spare lock and this one have been already damaged. Thank you, guys.
  3. Hi, guys. I didn't t drive the '73 for some time, but today when i tried to open my trunk i saw that somebody tried to open it and the lock is broken now. When i put the key in it and turn it left / right, nothing happens. Is there some easy way to open the trunk, somehow to take out the lock or something before i call a key service? I was even suprised they didn't make it. These old locks should be very simple for unlocking...
  4. Ok, i'm about to part out the car and i will send it to you, no problem. But don't say it like that. I sent you the flares, i'll make a search at home to scan you the note from the post company with your name, address, etc. Then i really don't know what happened. At least if i wanted to lie you, i wouldn't write here again. And if you want to answer me, do it via PM or e-mail, because we're going off-topic here...
  5. Now these post, guys are useful. I know there are different people, just needed some prices for example. Thank you.
  6. And how did you help me with this post? If you don't have what to say just don't write!
  7. I have a nice one piece dash with just one repairable crack in the middle. So what's it worth? And a price for absolutely crack free 3-piece dash from a very low-mileage car that has been garaged all these years. Thanks.
  8. I found an AC system for my Euro '88 318i from an US 325iX. Do you know if there are some differences between the Euro and US version? Sorry i'm a new E30 owner, still doesn't have access to post topics in E30 tech... Thanks.
  9. Yes, his prices are high, but he really has rare parts. I was dealing with him once, and i'm not sure i would do it again. I bought from him a roof with power sunroof. When i asked him about the condition he didn't answer me on e-mail. Anyway, i bought the roof, i didn't have a choice. It came with rusty cables, blown electric motor and broken sliders. Anyway, fixed it for little cash, but always ask about condition for the second hand parts.
  10. Alpina pistons. There were two types - Mahle and KS. Around 15-20 gr. lighter than stock. But you need modifying the head for them.
  11. I remember PO told me that he have made some mods or something, so the doors can be locked while the door is open, so you don't need to go each time to passenger side and lock the doors with the keys, i guess he was very lazy to do this every time... Don't know how it was done, i don't understand these lock mechanisms. Anyway - i'm pretty sure these cars are easy to get it, so there's no need for trashing windows, etc. If i pull the door open handle (not the lock / unlock buton) will the door open? Sorry haven't try this before...
  12. Today i made the mistake to lock the keys inside my 73... I was reading some topics about unlocking without keys, but still can't make it and don't want to call someone to unlock it, make new keys, etc... At least will first try unlock it myself and then spending money on this if i can't do it. So here is what i did... Removed the chrome trim with the seal carefully. And i made a stick looking something like this. I tried with it to pull up the lock / unlock button, but nothing happens. I'm pretty sure i don't put the stick on the right place. I don't know how exactly the lock mechanism look like. Do you have some pictures that might help or some ideas?
  13. Apache IV or V? Seen them for 300 to 1200 for restored sets. I like those too. 5. Thanks
  14. Where i can buy this fabric from? And does it have some special name? I know it's plaid, but i want exactly this type and this color combo for my E30.
  15. I think you better fix your electric sunroof. You are right it is factory and very rare option and it's pretty cool for such an old car to have electric sunroof. I purchased mine from Germany, but it was stuck. The motor didn't work, cables, etc. But i gave it to an old man near my home who is repairing sunroofs and he changed everything. The original Golde motor didn't work, so he used one from another car and it all works now. And i'm pretty sure your motor is not original too. My original stuck Golde motor is seating next to my PC for one year maybe, and still sitting and i'm looking at your picture which you've posted and compared them. And they don't look the same. But anyway, this is not important. Find from some junkyard good old motor and fix your sunoorf the way it has to be. This is what i did with my roof, it wasn't hard and it wasn't expensive. Good luck.
  16. I have a set of 5 Enkei Apache 13" 2 or 3-piece wheels, don't know... Does anybody know what are their worth?
  17. Like it was told i'm pretty sure it's not that easy. I'm pretty sure that these cones are very sensitive to the other engine specs and it will not be easy to make the right settings. About the 7.5 mm pistons. I contacted a German company, i forgot the link, i think Mark gave it to me, that also rebuild KF pumps and makes also Race KF pumps and they told me that the 7.5 mm pistons are for race engines with more than 210 bhp. Otherwise i don't need them and i ca run with the stock 6.5 mm. Their advice is to run with Webers, because those race pumps and their rebuild, spare parts are veeery expensive. So it will be good if someday we know the exactly differences betwwen the stock TII and A4 pump and somehow to convert it to A4 pump. And after we do that we still have to find the toher parts from the A4 system. For now i'll go with stock rebuilt tii pump with a 284 Schrick. But i will keep searching answers about this...
  18. It's a cool seat. Except the color. The only problem is finding a passenger seat. I just found a local seat like this here, but needs a lot of work for around $40. I guess i'm lucky. )
  19. Both variations looks fake to me. 1st reason was told already - why would Alpina just put their logo on the gauge when it's just like the stock. And the 2nd - the logos on those gauges are the new ones. In the years of 02 Alpina used the old stylo logo with the old font: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6-VcuYcrrRA/TRTnWFN1UwI/AAAAAAAACGo/capBDHBS2s8/s1600/%2521C%2521kWbjg%2521Wk%257E%2524%2528KGrHqYOKiwEzVfe9p-9BNDj3Q%2528%2529t%2521%257E%257E_12.jpg As far as i know the new logo came with E12, E21, etc. I've seen an original gauge cluster of an Alpina A3 race car. Early gauges with the old style logo (only the letters ALPINA). The speedometer shows 220 km/h and the tachometer has a second, redline needle (painted red. the other needles were light). So i'm not sure about the late street Alpina cars, but if it's an Alpina part for 2002 with the new style logo, i think it's all fake. I hope somebody has some pictures of the cluster i'm talking about - it looks really cool.
  20. Can anybody upload the PDF file somewhere in a site like rapidshare to download it, because it's too big for attaching in e-mail?
  21. They look to me like CIBIE. Not sure. Great video, of a great car! Please, show us more!
  22. There's an E21 for sale here in Bulgaria. Some '78 318. With Alpina 15"s genuine and the most interesting - factory recaro 2002 driver seat. Here's a picture: http://pitt.snimka.bg/auto-racing/snimki.570553.22548706 It's not in good condition, but i'm pretty sure it's a Recaro, because the handle for tilting / pulling up the seat is down, not like the stock ones - upper. The price of the car is too low, but i need the seat for now, so i'm talking with the owner now to sell me only the seat. But here are the questions - the seat is only one. If i don't find another seat i'll put this one as a passenger seat and go with 2002 Recaro bucket seat as driver's seat. But is it possible to turn the handle and the mechanism on the other side. And are there any spare parts replacement? I see that these seats have gas pressured spring for pulling up the seat - is there an alternative, because when i see the seat on the picture and it's bad condition i'm pretty sure that this spring is gone somewhere many years ago.
  23. Very interesting. So obviously the things are not that simple like Wes told me and if i want to make it work i'll have to find modified spare parts or to go with another cam, something like 284...
  24. Can somebody tell me if there are differences between tii and non-tii blocks? And if yes is it something serious. My original block from my 73 tii is missing, that's why i'm asking...
