  8. Can you email me as well I looking for a set of your floor mats and want to know what you have in stock. cwspringeratgmaildotcom.
  9. Thanks for all the advice guys. Got the car all wired and finished last night and she fired right up! It was weird though I had to hook the resistor up for the car to stay running. It would run if I held the key in the start position. No worries though the blue coil should have enough resistance I think its hooked up to the starter somehow. Thanks again for all the advice shes back on the road!
  10. I didnt put the engine at tdc when I installed it so this is hopefully the problem. Yeah I read about the resistance in the instructions, someone chimed in on this thread and said since I have the blue coil I should disconnect the stock resistor. Thanks for the advice guys I'll try this today and report back!
  11. Alright I have everything installed correctly it seems. The box is getting power correctly and I have spark and fuel but the engine wont fire up(turns over though). Could it be the timing? I installed the system with the distributor in the car(which was a pain but wanted to avoid the timing issue haha) so I'm at a loss for what to try next. Crane guru's chime in please!!
  12. Yeah its a square hole. No I dont plan on reversing it so just knock it out with a screw driver? I just looked at the shop manual and it seems like the little cylinder thing by the spade connector unscrews would the spade connector come out with it? Something from the wiring harness is hooked in to it(tach??) A bunch of wires are also hooked to the resistor I guess I should just disconnect? thanks for the insight!
  13. I thought my 32/36 was giving me issues as well but it ended up being ignition related. check all that stuff as well
  14. I am having trouble with installing my Crane xr700, I cant seem to remove the male fitting that goes through my dizzy(first picture) that the original points attach to. It has some small cylindrical piece on the outside. I know this is a non vacuum advance dizzy but thats about it. Also Do I have to bypass this (second picture)? Third pic is dizzy assembly with points for reference. Thanks in advance!
  15. I think its still gonna be pretty bad when I get up there just gotta keep her washed off! Do any of you run this type of system with the stock or blue coil?
  16. Thanks for replys. Yeah I am trying to do points replacement but it seems like for an extra 60 bucks I can get a hotter spark thats more reliable for cold starting. Im traveling across country and want my car to start easily when up in the boston area. I think I may just stick with the 700 because I am not planning any major mods anytime soon!
  17. http://www.summitracing.com/search/?keyword=crane%20xr700&dds=1 I dont have a vacuum distributor. Have you guys found them cheaper anywhere else? Thanks in advance!
  18. could my fuel pump/regulator be toast? Im not seeing any fuel in the filter near the engine. I recently replaced the point in the distributor which was the fix for a no start issue a month ago. May be time for an electric pump. thanks in advance CW
  19. I as well have used PB blaster(penetrating lube) with great success. I also did a master and bled the brakes this weekend for the first time, best of luck with the rest of the project!
