  1. This will get done in this neighborhood! There is a VA cemetery up the road by Santa Nella, the manager is a grumpy, mean old hag that refused Boy Scouts a few years ago, The Fed finally did good and let them place flags. I'll stick closer to home and wish my brothers peace at the five cemetery's we have close by
  2. Heck yeah! I'm in and thanks for the effort! Email out.
  3. Mine came with a spare engine that had some little issue. I kept it and received a good education on rebuilding...with a lot of help!! I wanted to keep the original motor just because the numbers match.
  4. This may sound dumb...but like the old days of doubling head gaskets...would doubling VC gaskets be an issue or create more problems than it's worth?
  5. I'm going to make mine, or make a few depending on how I feel during the week ;->
  6. Only have one small (3/4") tear in mine, but front and back need new rubber so might as well while the windows are out. I'm a pen maker when not in the field and income from that pays for all my 02 stuff. LOML is thrilled with that arragnement!
  7. I like that bandsaw...same one in my shop with a 6" riser. Headliner is sweet too!!
  8. Holy Crap! Lt Cmdr (ret), Respiratory Therapist at Level 1 Trauma Ctr. Had cancer...got fixed last year...still an RT and working for HHS/ASPR/NDMS/DMAT Ca-6 and still working on my '73 02
  9. Thanks William, having posted here for a few years, I'm aware of forum procedure. I did not know however, that springs had numbers. C.D. has answered several questions for me in the past. Perhaps you missed them.
  10. No one? Wow...you sure have a large speaking range!
  11. Seems kind of dumb, but I pulled the springs off my '73 knowing they had been cut. All 4 old ones were the same length. The "new-to-me" springs are new/unused...for a '73, but two are taller. Taller one's in go in front I'm guessing??? Thanks for the assist! Jim
  12. After finding nothing under "Search"... I want to crinkle coat my valve cover. Is it ok as a DIY of best left to a shop? Any product recommendations? Thanks guys/gals
  13. Nice work Jeff!! I work on mine weekly...although not a Tii, Just another 72 Roundie. I did stall for a few months, paying the bills got in the way, but I added a window A/C unit to my garage so it's back to business. Thanks for the encouragement!! And keep up the pics...what does a broken door block look like?
  14. After looking in Forum search, I decided that 2002AD is not the place to do the restoration on my '73. Does anyone have experience with a good, reliable Calif shop that can do ground up and knows '02's? No...I'm not going to do it myself, the reasons are to numerous to list. Thanks all!!
  15. Thanks gentlemen...and Lady. Jim- I didn't do anything to it. Just pulled it out and wet towel'd it. And yes the cutout is real big, but the Blaupunkt radio fits exactly...which is kinda cool. Mike- Thanks for the collage...I saw my console in there. It has rear deck speakers and cutouts in the lower kick panels so I guess that's where they'll end up.
  16. Here is the console. Where on earth did the speaker(s) go in a '73? Nothing special...non-Tii 2002, Behr A/C, manual. Responses like "if you don't know...why did you buy it" and so on can keep it to yourselfs'. I am working on this and could use real answers or places to find them. To those who can...Thanks!!
  17. Pat, I think that the only thing that needs help is harness it's self. There are some minor things...not electrical to be sure. All someone needs to do is unplug the Ford harness and plug in the original harness. I cleaned up the taillight lens's and reflectors and the grills. I noticed that there are some wires behind the grill for fog/driving lights! Every time I open the girl up there are good suprises. The substance is there...just missing some rearrangements.
  18. 1) yes it is 2) That's the way I bought it. It runs like a bat outta **** and almost everything works. LOML is kinda mad because it runs better than our sons Honda. I don't know why the Ford box is there. If I had 29 cents of electrical knowledge, I could figure it out. Wiring isn't my gig...never has been and never will be. I was thinking of an EZwire setup...yes/no?
  19. If I had any hope of doing this myself...I wouldn't ask. Anyone in the Fresno area could easily cash in on a couple hundred $$ for a sucessful fix to the pictured problem
  20. It was also used for the required rear bumper fog/driving light on Euro cars.
  21. Gotta go with that one Jim. Classic's know Classics. I don't mind letting a bozo know that his place in a lane is his and mine is mine. Keep it clean and on the road. People that understand don't need the show, they appreciate and wave, those who don't hit the gas and make an a**s.
  22. Need to see if these are found anywhere...cough up if ya know!!. lower door /rocker trim clip, attached behind front wheel well. Hope the pic shows up.
  23. EZ wire (ezwire.com) has a good setup
