  1. ^^^^^ Agreed, 750 views and only had one person that was interested, but decided on a sunroof.
  2. That would be my ad about the poor driving in traffic, but that was with 30mm chokes (WAY TOO SMALL for the M10) and ran rich as a pig so when it was warm out side it ran extremely rich, put in 34mm chokes and it made a world of difference runs great, just trying to work out crappy linkage issues.
  3. Thanks, yea I posted it in August, I expected it to take awhile, most people seem to want a cheap one that is a big project to do themselves.
  4. 1974 BMW 2002 Located in Atlanta, GA / Clemson, SC (school) Atlantic blue on blue interior Great street/track weekend car E-mail me at h cestoni at earthlink dot net The front valance has rust and the bottom of the spare tire well has some rust holes in it. There is some rust around the pedal box. Nothing structural and shock towers look great, roof had a paint chip come off has been touched up but is noticable close up. ENGINE: Rebuilt 2 years ago - 25,000 miles on it now -Weber 40 DCOEs -Ross 9.5:1 forged racing pistons -cylinders bored out 1mm over -Stainless intake and exhaust valves (exhaust valves are 1mm bigger than stock) -292 regrind cam from Ireland Engineering(IE) -Head ported and polished -Crankshaft was machined and polished -IE step header into an Ansa exhaust system IGNITION: -Petronix electronic ignition -MSD 6A box -Rebuilt distributor tuned for engine setup -MSD Spark Plug wires DRIVELINE: - E21 5 speed - E21 3.91 Limited slip differential SUSPENSION: -IE stage 2 springs -Bilstein sport shocks -IE stainless strut tower brace Wheels: -15x7 rota RB -Cooper Zeon ZPT tires - 1.5 years old lots of life left INTERIOR: -Recaro sport seats - Blue Vinyl NEW condition -C.D player -Gauges were sent out and re-built when engine was built -WORKING odometer that was set to 00000 for the new engine -Coco floor mats new in December 2008, Black with blue spots -Dash has a crack in it -Wood momo steering wheel -Heater Box has been rebuilt with new cable, works great in the winter -320i radiator -odyssey battery under the rear seat Comes with spare motor that would be good for a rebuild, shop manual, haynes manual, weber manual, and a box of misc. parts from p.o. The car is very reliable, fast for a 2002, drives great, starts right up every time, just does not like traffic of daily commuting (twin webers do not like stop and go traffic). It does great on the interstate or nice curvy roads, and is a blast on a track.
  5. looks great, who makes it, this is one of few that I really like.
  6. Sorry I'm looking to get out of a 2002, nice car though.
  7. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,336322/ Update: Just polished and waxed paint shines like new, that spot on the roof has been touched up, still noticeable upon observation, but not bare anymore. I just ordered new 34mm chokes for the webers, they came with 30mm which is completely starving the engine of air.
  8. Stock ones are the best. The only thing I got from the Ireland urethane ones was more interior vibration, no real perofrmance gains. But on the drivers side urethane one the metal support plate recently ripped out leaving the engine to flop around, the mount was a little over 2 years old.
  9. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,336322/ I would be confident in it making the trip.
  10. I have a dual purpose car for sale but its a 74' Currently used as daily driver so it is very reliable, but is a great track companion, stayed with vettes through corners around Road Atlanta http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,336322/

  12. Yes I have a box of receipts from previous owner and myself, I would not be scared driving it out to California, but would recommend being well prepared with common tools and fluids, the the engine is fresh and mechanicals well maintained but it is still an old car. It is great on the interstate but my longest interstate trip with it was only 3 hours. e-mail me hcestoni at earthlink dot net
  13. Some idiot backed into the car at the movies and left without saying anything. The damage is cosmetic and insurance is going to help fix it and I can also get the left quarter fixed as you can see in the pictures above it is bowed out. Here are better pictures of the interior so you can see the new condition of the recaros.
  14. Thanks, yea it has been over a year and half now but it is my only car, so its driven everyday, and also tracked every once in awhile but the car enjoys all of it. North Hollywood Speedometer did the gauges, they are VDO specialist, and excellent to work with the turn around was very quick too. I believe it cost around $150 but that depends on the condition of your gauges. The air cleaners are from the foam ones from TEP that go on the velocity stacks, these are the proper ones that do not sit at the opening of the stack but leaves a space for the stack to breathe, the only annoyance is the one on the third cylinder has clearance issues with the brake booster, still works but it just looks sketchy. I will post some recent engine pics and better interior pics to better showcase the new condition of the recaros.

  16. A local machine shop did all the machining and assembled the head (I did not have the proper tools for that), other than that I built it, runs really strong.
  17. Here is a link for info on my car http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,326894/highlight,/ It makes a fun track car and drives really strong, I do not have time anymore to keep up with tuning, and would like something a little more practical for daily driving. e-mail me hcestoni at earthlink dot net if interested I'm from Atlanta Thanks Hunter
