  1. are these struts still availible?
  2. i need an m42 swap for my 2002. just motor with manifolds .and mounts would be cool too.

  5. i have a 74 with an e21 head and weber 32/36 carb. tii mech. dizzy. used to have pertonix on another dizzy but it doesnt fit this one. well the car has trouble idleing. it idles high and seems like there is a miss. i can turn the idle down but its hard to get it right on the money. i run the car on cheap murphy gas, eerrrrggggg, but usually only use shell. but the engine idles inconsistantly. it is missing some where. the car will accelerate and deaccelerate good and is still very pepy. but mantaining speed is a problem. it will hesitate and lag out. i tried putting my ignition in but once i found out it wouldnt fit i put my points and condensore back in. it was fin before that. the gap is set right and the cars timing is right on the money. also adjusted vavles and carborator. im stumped. any help would be awesome. thanks in advance

  7. does the m42 come out of the 318? hhhmmmm i figured this would be a popular one. is it dual or single OHC. honestly as far as character the car is a little bomb shell but i may want to stay away from turbos and the tuning that is is involved. and plus i like an all motor beast
  8. im thinking of a motor swap....im sure this has been discused. i want a motor that is going to produce massive horsepower. any suggestions? not sure wether or not i want a 6 cylinder....although the idea does sound nice. i like the e30 evolution 2 but i have to be practical. does anyone know or have experience with any of these motors and their specifications. turbo or NA and i think i want a DOHC unless convinced otherwise. so again thanks for all your help in advance.
  9. have you had any luck? on my 32/36 there is a little piece that sticks out of the carb on the bottom facing the intake manifold. sometimes, if it had a mechanical advance dizzy, they will be pluged or caped. i wish i had a pic to solidify what im trying to say.
  10. how much power did your m20 run with headers? do you know?
  11. i have on a 1974 the mechanical advance distributor. i am told its off of a tii......i recently put the pertronix ignition in it. its done great up until a couple of days ago. i noticed the car wasnt staying in time. the idle would fluctuate sometimes idleing as low as 500 rpm. upon taking the distributor apart i noticed one of the springs on the weight had gotten chewed up by the rotor and such. so i replaced the springs. but i dont think they are suficient enough to run the car( they came from a replacment kit from autozone) i shouldve known better. but was in a hurry. now the car doesnt run on all cylinders. i am waiting on a set from sportscar warehouse. from underneath the car you can see where 3 and 4 are leaking oil from the exaust manifold. ive known people that have had compression problems in which the car never runs the same. i was wondering if anyone had any advice. maybe i should be looking for something else or maybe its just me over analysing some worn out valve guides but the motor (rebuilt) only has 20k on it

  13. OKAY SO I WAS THINKING OF PUTTING THE M20 MOTOR IN MY CAR BUT I AM NOT SURE WHAT I NEED ALL IN ALL. ALSO WHAT IS THE DISPLACMENT, I THOUGHT IT WAS A 2.7 LITRE BUT NOT SURE. ALSO KORMAN OFFERS THE STROKER KIT FOR THAT MOTOR AND I THINK IT IS A MUST HAVE. I CURRENTLY HAVE A 2.2 LITRE STROKER MOTOR IN MY 74 2002 AND IT IS AWESOME. BUT ANYWAY I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I NEED( LIKE DRIVESHAFT, MOUNTS, REAR END, ETC.) THANKS STEFAN
