Hi Mike and Brandon...
Thanks so much....
It looks like the problem is solved..
The BURu Voltage Regulator is bad.
Mike, at first per Walter (Riteway Alternator and Starter Lancaster, CA)
Attached his voltmeter and etc...
It looked exactly as you described..
Per Walter, bump the idle up 100 RPM to around 900 when the voltage went back up to 14 +
We bumped the idle up and things seemed ok throughout the weekend,..
However, today the light started flickering again with the new bumped idle of 850 RPM.
Fortunately, I still had the original Bosch voltage regulator in the Trunk when I purchased the car back in 1997.
I replaced the BURu with the old Bosch and the light is off!!
I went back to Walter today and he tested the BURu Voltage Regulator and said it was bad and had an intermittent fluctuation when put under a load etc...
I plan to do more contact cleaning as l go through the wiring...
Since I don't know how old the Bosch is I still want to replace it...
(LOL... I Know the old addage "If it ain't broke don't fix it")
However, I don't want to have to think about it for a while..
Do you guys know where I can get an original Bosch VR reasonable priced?
Part number 30048
The lowest price l have seen was $180.00 eBay
Appreciate the support!!
