  1. Hey everyone! I'm looking for one of the 2002ti air filter canisters, although I'm open to buying the whole assembly I'm mainly interested in the center canister section (See picture attached). Lemme know! Thanks in advance!
  2. That is amazing, I have never seen one, or even a picture of one. I've never even come across one for sale. Thank you for sharing, and I'd love to know more about them! Good luck with the sale!
  3. Beautiful piece! The bottom cluster also looks beautiful! Where did you source the bottom 240km/h speedo? Is it an E9 unit? Good luck with the sale!
  4. Hey Paul! By any chance, did the trim sets arrive? Lemme know! Best, B
  5. Hey Paul! Thanks for the fast comeback! Will definitely take you up on your offer for the new pieces. We DO have the clips though. We're working together on a car with Gonzalo Saporiti who is one of my best friends and as I'm writing this he is yelling from the other side of the garage telling me to tell you to say hi to Saul! (apparently Saul has saved his ass a couple of times before with some hard to find items) Just let me know when you get them in and we'll go ahead and make the order. As always, thanks for the helping hand. All the best, Bruno
  6. Hey guys and gals! Finishing up the resto and I am in need of a knee belt line trim set (all of them, both sides), I'm looking for one in the best condition possible. No problem in paying for shipping. Please let me know if anyone has a set they are willing to part with. As always, thanks in advance and I really appreciate the helping hand. Best, Bruno
  7. Hey this looks awesome, whats the story on it, do you have any more? It's really close to the original alpina tacho. Thanks in advance! B
  8. Damn! That looks epic. Amazing work mate!
  9. Fernando, that actually looks pretty cool! I always thought that the "prototipo" logo was engraved in the new wheels. Certainly looks like a viable option if I don't find one. La verdad quedó divino! Abrazo!
  10. Nobody is saying you are mate. It was just a comment in general about these kind of wheels. Yours without taking the recover into consideration meets all the criteria of an "original" one. The original chrome plated Alpina horn button ring, the general patina on the wheel, the fact that its a "Flat" Momo Prototipo, and im gonna go on a limb and say that its stamped in the back with the MO-MO logo with the letters stacked on top of each other. Are all things that grant it an "original" status. Anyway, I'm truly sorry if any of my comments offended you in any way, that wasn't the idea. I've been looking for one of these for a long time now, but without luck. I just want one all original, unmolested, don't really care if it looks a bit like crap...
  11. Be careful on this one, I've seen it before, before the recover, it has a pretty significant ding on one of the spokes (left one) plus its one of the paint stamped alpina logo ones, not as rare as the stamped in metal (engraved) one, plus they seem to have a higher tendency to be reproduced (knockoffs). I'm not in any way saying this one is a reproduction, but just giving a heads up. GO-LLY, THAT PRICE NUMBER.
  12. Don't care if its the black or silver version, I've been looking for one for ages... Any info or hint is welcome. Thanks in advance, Bruce PS: See the attached photos... Location: Montevideo, Uruguay Location: Montevideo, Uruguay

  14. The thing is, I live in Montevideo, Uruguay, and with shipping and everything the prices I suspect would be too high (to get them shipped to the states after manufacture). Thats why I thought of uploading the CAD files, so that anyone that wants them reproduced can go to a machine shop and get them done. The pieces are fairly simple and should be able to be manufactured with no problems, I will however look into the whole fabrication idea and study the viability of the costs. As soon as I have any news, I'll post them here, I'm currently dealing with finals, so I'm a bit behind on the whole CAD project... I'll keep you posted!
  15. WOAH! Seriously could not have done it better myself, this will most defenetely do the trick. I'll start working on the blueprints ASAP. As soon as I have it done I'll post it here. From all the way over down the other half of the world THANKS! I really appreciate the helping hand. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress! Cheers, B
  16. That would be great!, having the overall width, length and height measurements I can source out all the other measurements (width of the grooves, quantity of the grooves, and size of the screw chanfers) from the paper rub, except for the depth of the grooves, just by giving me an estimation on that one should be enough must be something like half a millimiter or so. The measurements I would need then are to sketch up the 3d model of the part are, the total length, width and hight (how thick the sill is) of the part, the spacing between the screws from center of screw to center of screw, and the depth of the grooves. Everything else I can source out of the paper rub (try if possible to rub over a section that includes one of the screws). Anyway, can't thank you enough for this, I really appreciate it!
  17. Ahhh great to hear that!!! I'm looking for length, width, height (thickness of the aluminum piece), screw spacing, and size of screw heads, so that to find the diameter of the chanfer of the holes... and also how thick and deep are the grooves? Pictures of the setup would also be greately appreciated, the more the details, the more accurate the reproduction will be... Also it looks as if there is a separate piece that holds the carpet in place... if you can snap a couple of pics of that one and some measurements that should do the trick. As soon as I get all the specs I'll start working on the CAD file, once done im uploading it here, I don't plan on making money on these... With the cad file any serious machine shop should be able to make a set for you using a CNC... My way of giving a bit back for all these years of support and help you guys have given me... Thanks again! Cheers! B
  18. Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone here had these sills installed on their cars, since I was planning on reproducing them (they are NLA) I think would look awesome on my early car. They were optional accessories of the time, and so far I have never seen them around, If someone could provide some rough measurements I could sketch up a cad file so as to have them reproduced to original spec... Anyway, I'll await your replies... Any info is more than welcome! Cheers, Bruce
  19. Hello, im really interested in one of the missmatching rear window latches, (the early full chrome one). Was wondering, is it complete and in good working order? Also, was wanted to know if shipping to Montevideo, Uruguay was possible, I have no problem on paying for the shipping fees. I'ts just that these parts are really hard to come by here. Please let me know... Take care, Bruce
  20. I'm interested in these parts. Was wondering if you were willing to ship internationally (I live in montevideo, uruguay and have no problem on paying for the shipping fees) Anyway... just let me know, and thanks in advance! Cheers, Bruce
  21. Hello there! I'm interested in the book: BMW Profiles - The BMW 02 Series The Cult Car The thing is I live in Montevideo, Uruguay, and was wondering if you were willing to ship internationally, I have no problem on paying for the difference. Please let me know... Take care, Bruce
  22. Hey Harry! I may be interested in them... sent you a message through Facebook... Take care! Bruce
  23. Hi mate, If you could send me some pictures of your early alpina airbox it would really help me out with my restoration, since I have an original alpina engine and im missing some info on the airbox. If you please could send me some pictures of the unit to my email I would really appreciate it, I just want to see how much it differs from the original TI airbox. My email is: brucedemuro@hotmail.com Thanks in advance! Cheers, Bruce Try going to this link : http://forum.bmw-02-club.de/board_entry.php?id=111616 Great pictures of this style of early Alpina air box! Thanks mate but the one that I'm looking for is the one that looks like the ti airbox with the two cylindrical filter elements on the ends. I wanted to know if it differed from the original ti in some way...

  25. Maybe I can help... This is indeed an original Alpina airbox, the reason why its such a tight fit is because it wasn't originally designed for the 2002, it originally came on one of the early 1800ti alpinas back in the day (the booster is miles away from the input manifold, loads of room available), pretty vintage rare stuff, even the elephant gray color seems to be the original one... I knew I had seen it before, looked it up on my alpina picture stash library and voila! Hope it helps, good luck with the sale mate!
