    This was laying inside my passenger door when I pulled the door panel off this weekend. I had installed new door panels just prior to Midamerica Fest and it wasn't in there at that point. When I pulled the panel off this last weekend to install a new vapor barrier, there it was but I can't figure out where it came from? I don't see a reference to it on the diagrams on Realoem but then, I'm not 100% sure if it's from the window regulator, door latch, vent window, door lock/handle... Anybody know?

    Turns out it WAS the small wire that plugs into the back of the solenoid! I managed to burn that sucker clean off! I have since repaired it with a new connector and it works like a charm!! Chalk this one up to another lesson learned! Thanks everybody!! Dan

    Remember how Mom always said "don't run with scissors"? Well here's another one.... Always disconnect the battery before replacing the driver's side motor mount!! Well, I didn't and I managed to create an amazing light and sound show when my wrench shorted out between the positive side of the starter and the block. Problem now is, when I turn the key I get nothing! No clicks, no ticks, no whirring sounds...nothing. The battery is still fine, all my lights work and when I turn the key on all my idiot lights come on. It's just when I turn it to start, nothing happens. The lights don't dim or anything. My question to the group is, before I start blindly checking everything with my meter, what's the most likely culprit? Do you think I melted the ignition switch itself? The starter solenoid? Did I fry the starter? Maybe just melted a wire (which one)? With my luck it will be all the above. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or tips! Dan
