  5. Got this from a car off CL, the owner replaced the head with a new casting since timing belt destroyed original head, new rockers. Engine had an electrical fire. 240 shipped firm
  6. a super eta is a 325e with the motronic 1.1 fuel injection from the 325i, they share the same cylinder head casting, although early 885 casting super eta heads used a 4 journal camshaft whereas later heads used a 7 journal camshaft, subsequent oil holes were drilled in the head to accommodate this. 325i bottom end MAY also say that it is "2,7" but it still uses a shorter stroke crankshaft and the 8.8:1 compression ratio pistons, taller dome with different sized valve reliefs. Post a picture on the forum, NOT through an email, its easily distinguishable. None of the 325i cars came with a 2.7, sure the block may have been stamped 2.7 since there were a lot of inconsistencies, someone may have replaced the block. Matt
  7. FYI, the super eta only came in the 88 325e, not the "I" designated cars. Visible difference is the intake manifold, throttle body, intake boot, and other small differences but looks identical as far as the block and head are concerned.
  8. The only valve covers i have for the m20 are all from 325i cars, nothing special though
  9. comes with what you see here, have the air cleaner as well 150 shipped for the carb and manifold 183 shipped including the air cleaner. i have a few of the old manual style distributors for the m20 as well, driven by the oil pump intermediate shaft.

  11. i got hit by a cop years ago, rear ended, while sitting at a red light. NOBODY around and of all the places to be it had to be me. How do you hit a parked car with nobody around? Cops are NOT good drivers, most track rats could outrun if they didnt have a radio...

  14. A dealer told me the block and crank are about 115lbs. So via UPS it would be around 100-130 dollars from 01913. I would only charge the actual shipping and packing costs. If you can find a cheaper means, thats ok as long as it not to far. Please email me off list to work out the details. A m20 bottom end....oil pan, block, pistons, rods, and crankshaft are about 190-200 lbs depending on which stroke you have. Its cost a customer of mine 320 to send a super eta "bottom end" to WA state using a big rig as transportation. I sent a M21 524TD bottom end, 200 lbs plus pallet to protect it....and it was a bit more than that to Texas. Not to threadjack, or prevent you selling it, but getting a non euro m20 in CA would be a cheaper and more sane choice instead of getting a m20 shipped across the country. HDX, if you want a COMPLETE stroker m20 here in CA then send me an email, on what your plans are. Again im not threadjacking, its just not cost-effective when shipping the motor comes to mind for what amounts to a motor with hard to find parts that needs rebuilt regardless of mileage, at least honed, re-ringed and align honed.
